  The Watchtower Plot Against Us

  the watchtower organisation has been guilty of major coverups and blatant lies.. it does not want ex jws telling others what they know.. does it ever occur to you that the watchtower have people who post on this board, gathering information about us?

  they could use it against us at any time....they could keep a record of what we say on our posts and establish who we really are.. e.g.

  people who i hardly ever speak to on this board suddenly seem to know details about me.

  Sirona, I don't post much because another forum member, in my area, was busted by JW family/friends. The confrontation did not sound pretty. My daughter saw a JW elder & pioneer wife relative on a web page with a JW DF topic. It did not look like the official Wt site.

  It matters to me because I still have minor children for a few more months. I don't wish to get caught up in any possible major fallout. Afterwards I'll say & do as I want. For now I play along.

  How about this? I'm in an un-jw protection program. For two CO visits now, nobody has shown up for this update on inactives. Hmm, guess who lives in our "mother-in-law" apt set up for free including all utilities, a company vehicle, and collects a generous salary working for our business until he gets on his feet? JW elder relative. My guess is somebody is covering & making excuses for us. Especially with that political candidates sign put in the front yard by my daughter.

  Sometimes It's like living in the former Soviet Union with the information control. I hate sounding paranoid, too. One of my favorite lines is a sarcastic: "They must be high on PCT"(Paranoid Conspiracy Theory). Edited can't spell

  found this in the paper this morning and i laughed till i cried.... my cousin, dr. michael watson of bamberg, s.c., recently retired from 48 years of practice at the age of 76. i hope that this does mean he has resolved to abstain from sending me such e-mails as this:.

  a man comes into the er and yells "my wife's going to have her baby in the cab!

  " i grabbed my stuff, rushed out to the cab, lifted the lady's dress, and began to take off her panties.

  LOL Scoobysnax!

  I've got to tell ya. I'm really skeptical about the main characters and donating but I did meet several of the actors that played Ewoks in Star Wars III. They filmed in the west coast redwoods area. They attended our KH quite a bit. They were so popular they had at least two teenage girls(sisters) at their side at all times.

  1925 versus 1975 .

  most here are familiar with the failed prophecy of 1975. there were large increases in '74 and '75 and declines for the next three or four years after failed prophecy.

  now, the impact was far more devestating in 1925. i just ran into some interesting numbers on this subject.

  Am curious about 1975 having less devastating effect. I was going to post topic about if there was any sociological cause with membership rise & fall of 1975. The babyboomers were at their peak with stats of 1/3 to 1/2 in USA were 25yrs and under. USA has high membership. Greater population in their idealistic stage or people exploring new thought at the time.

  I wonder if with the fall, many ex-members viewed it as a phase or growing up & out period. Not everyone left because of doctrine issues. This thinking softens the blow with not just JWs but the public as well. "Cults/experimental groups were all the rage late 60's & 70's". If there are any links to this topic, I would like to check them out.

  crazy people walk among us.. they may drive cars, own houses, raise kids and hold jobs.. i have personally known psychotic people who appeared to be normal in every respect.

  About the SRA in opening topic:

  Any horrific actions you can imagine, it's most likely been done including SRA for whatever purpose.

  On the other hand, SRA has been associated with nationwide/worldwide organized groups with massive amounts of members conspiring to demonize and/or abuse countless victims. This theory involving hundreds of thousands is generally viewed by the public as the stuff of tabloids. I share this view.

  Of the books & reports pro and con: the investigative researchers fact checking results was as scary as some of the published abuse articles. In particular, the Mike Warnke expose "Selling Satan". He helped start & prolong the scare in the 80's. He didn't differentiate storytelling from reality. He cashed in on his "ministry" in a big way while enjoying a double life.

  I read "He Came To Set the Captives Free" by Rebecca Bown a couple years ago and it scared the bejesus out of me. I read the investigative report about the author later. She was so whacked out on Demerol and delusions she lost her M.D. license due to prescribing large amounts of Demerol to "cure" people of demon possession.

  As for 'They walk among us', I could write many pages. Like your title. Let me toast to credibility fighting Wt abuses.

  Agree it's ignorance. I'll be wearing an astonished look indefinately for believing, so many years, even though I was inactive for much of the time. The knowledge that finally breaks through to critical thinking ability varies for the individual. The internet completed my exit and then some.

  It was seeing The Governing Body with their pants down.

  The scandals at the top level among the elite group, "chosen ones" revealed, knocked any true believer, out of me, clear around the block.

  It's been over a year now, but thinking back over information hard hitters: GB voting on peoples lives specifically, Mexico/Malawi, blood, military service and corrupt abuse coverup policy that started the investigation.

  Also, wishing your wife a complete recovery. It's just a matter of time.

  sometime ago the faq at jw-media stated that if one "simply ceases to be involved, they are not shunned.

  " ... now, the wording has changed to allow a broader position, one that could include even many more former jws, and "maybe" become the basis whereby they could argue that they are not apostate: do you shun former members?

  Reading between the lines: "Those that simply leave the faith are not shunned", in JW think = Those who are not DF, DA, or hunted down to DF/DA YET. It's those that faded successfully up to this point in time. I understand now.

  when i read about those who think that there is some major power struggle at bethel-i often wonder how much do they really understand about the guys in charge .

  you see with a one man show (rutherford, knorr to some degree before 75/76, russell) all you need to do is change one guys view and it is done .

  anyone who knows how middle management and committees work know that nothing gets done or changed many times cause no one wants to take the blame and risk losing their cushy positions by being removed by the others who will say: .
