"Assembly Hall mauve"
That was great!!
what happened to all of us?.
we got shit out the ass end of a kingdom hall wondering what the hell happened to us.. we started our journey as believer in the bible and got turned into a steaming pile of apostate crap.. how did it happen?.
we smelled delicious "food" and bit, chewed and swallowed .
i have been in the fading process for over a year now.
nobody has really bothered my wife and me since we've stopped, which i am thankful for.
recently, i've had an old jw friend send me a few text messages relating to business.
Wow! That sounded EXACTLY like my dad talking about the witnesses! They are taught to say that stuff! They are the true religion because they go door to door! What about the bible saying that true religion is looking out for orphans and widows?
my taste in music is pretty eclectic.
i was listening to some andrea bocelli this afternoon and found this on youtube.. .
oh my god!!!.
I like contemporary christian music and christian rock. It can be lame musically, sometimes, but lyrically, it is positive and makes me smile. I like Flyleaf, Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch...I even like Toby Mac and Chris Tomlin...Hillsong is great!
I really love It is Well with My Soul and How Great is our God, and the Resurrection Song...so many more!!
I remember being 14 and I got a Jars of Clay cd because of the song Flood that they were playing on the radio. I listened to it and they mentioned God a few times and when I realized it was a christian CD, I threw it away immediately. Funny remembering that!
tectured vegetable protien.
substitutes for meat.
do you like it?.
I'm not crazy about soy products in general...the information on the internet provides both good benefits and dangers of soy. Tempeh and miso are good choices because they are fermented. Non-gmo organic soy products are supposed to be ok in moderation. I put soy milk in my coffee when I am trying to eat more like a vegan, but I am an omnivore for the most part. I use tofu maybe a few times a year. Eat beans, nuts, seeds, whole grains, vegetables, fruits...some soy.
here is a startling admission from vatican!!!.

Well JW believe Jesus already came back a 2nd time in 1914, right? Invisibly? Now I believe he will come back visibly and the "every knee will bow" part makes me smile.
i am so happy to be out of the cult.
i would never go back!
i don't know some still could accept this religion, be here, regularly and not just get out..
I am in the same situation as Enlightenment123... a born in and the only one in my family who isn't still in. I don't show them scriptures, though, because they are blind. I pray they will learn the tatt one day and if He will use me in that effort, great! But if not, I pray it happens anyway. When I went to the memorial, I realized how far away I was from that and it made me so happy, but sad for them! I go to a baptist church now where I learned about Grace (undeserved kindness) and what it really means to have freedom in Christ. It took a while, though, to get through the "works based" teachings of earning our salvation. So glad I left and learned about Jesus!!!
1. they done me wrong.
2. i'm depressed.
3. i'm gonna act like an apostate (smoke, drink, drugs, sex, outrageous behavior).
I go between 4, 6 and 7, but this is an accurate list. I do feel bad about the grumbling because I'm kind of being like them in a sense (thinking I am better than them) because of the rejection and the devil worshipping comments about me. Our pastor at church said that you can become like the people that you are unable to forgive and it's true in this case. Letting it go would be nice. It would be easier if my whole family (except husband and son) wasn't still. I'm the only one who isn't in it anymore. Not disfellowshipped yet and have no intentions of going into that back room for that! I'm a little scared of them, truthfully.
after the big a comes, they will have alot of work to do.
i think they would be shocked and disappointed.
according to the scriptures that at the end of 1000 year reign, alot of people will fail the test.
I heard my dad say that after armageddon our job would be to clean up all the dead bodies and bones. I read the scripture that he was referring to - in Ezekial, it also mentioned that we would drink the blood and become drunk, but I guess we decided not to do that.
many on this board are still in and have all the literature.
do you read all your books regularly?
do you have old magazines that you have underlined and still keep?
I traded most of it in at the used book store for store credit. Threw the rest away. I do have a copy of the 2 bibles, though. And a My book of bible stories for nastalgia. I have read some of it to my son, just skipped over the untrue parts.
