What Drives You Crazy???

Telling someone the truth and as self-proclaimed lovers of the truth, they criticize you and consider you a foolish, unsaved, rebellious, disrespectful, prideful, hater of Jah's org and arrangement. Then they offer a free "bible" study about not judging.
Happens too often, you'd think I could accept it by now. But men are the only creatures smart enough to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

How have you rooted out the WT (harmful) doctrines

Having never been a JW this may sound naive, but a place to start might be to consider anything and everything about the WT to be just like you once considered anything and everything outside the WT. If by chance the WT actually provided some good for you, I full well expect that same good to be available, if not considerably more so, away from the WT, so you don't miss out on anything. The world according to the WT is entirely black and white, us against them, good verses evil. Simply practice entirely reversing it. Again, whatever real truth exists at the WT is truth everywhere, so you don't stand to lose anything of value. Use the same method they taught you to obey them to reject them. Immediately block out anything WT related knowing full well that they're a bad association.

How to get free Watchtowers???
by Elsewhere ini have been trying to think of a way for me to consistently receive copies of the watchtower and awake without having to give my money to the wts.
i'm stumped.
i can't go the kh to get them because they will not keep giving you stuff if you don't pay, errr, make donations.

And you want these horribly misleading, consistently dishonest, selfishly manipulative, potentially harmful, faith destructive, compilations of obvious BS why? If you're into that sort of thing you should be willing to pay for it. Or maybe I'm just biased.
If you want these things to better equip yourself to help others, I wish I had an answer for you.

Is There Hope for My JW Family?

i just got off the phone with a jw family member who is sending me a christmas present!.
they (i am keeping their gender a secret to protect their identity) didn't go so far as to wish me a merry christmas but they did tell me that they are mailing it tomorrow and that they hope that i get it in time for christmas.

The obvious problem is that JW's in "good standing" no longer have the ability to correctly determine who deserves the truth, honestly, nobody has that authority anyway. Yet they are empowered by this teaching which only serves to deceive them further and pull them opposite to where they are all working so hard to go. The word is sad. Thanks though, for the compilation.

Don't hate it, embrace it. Anytime you're not sure what to do, or are doing something you're not sure about...your mind is working, you're learning, you're paying attention, you're using critical analysis, you're independently thinking, you're alive. The uncertainty will pass along with the insecurity, and if it doesn't...stop association with the WT.

What the WT took from me.. is it gone 4ever?

the wt has been exposed to me as nothing but a bunch of lies, coverups, failed predictions, interpreting the bible to fit their teachings etc.
now i stand here,,,,,,,,,,,, with no belief system at all.

Please try to understand that the Bible repeatedly says the God wants your heart. Your comment that you have lost trust in the Bible, in God, and your own thinking concerns me greatly. The WT CANNOT and SHOULD NOT have the power to shake your trust in God and His Word. Your own thinking was affected but try to make it stop there. When you are ready, trust His leadership of your heart. Ask Him in prayer to lead you to Him. Ask Him to speak PLAINLY to you when and if you visit other churches. Pay attention, if it isn't unconditional love you're seeing, God isn't present.
The most simple way I can say it is...ministry, love, and fellowship isn't something we do FOR God, it's something HE does THROUGH us. His Spirit is IN you, and causes you to will and act for His good pleasure.
As soon as anybody says that they have the way and nobody else does, you can be sure they don't understand the Bible and are incapable of obeying it. It is foolish to think that all of mankind could not only agree on but live by the exact same rules. That's called uniformity, the word the Bible uses is unity, BIG difference. Unity in love for the sake of peace, all for His Glory. That's the one true religion, there really aren't any other rules, and there are no stupid questions.
Have faith, not in any man, but in His power to guide you.

This thread is really timely for me, I've been struggling with my own bitterness lately. Though I've never been a JW, I've learned enough to know I'll never be one. This chiseling thing makes the most sense of anything I can think of anymore. To give up has never been an option, so only the amount of truth they can bear at the time. Got it, thank you.
