the young lovers seat themselves down and look over the landscape.

This scenario is quite literally, "Hell on Earth." You are forbidden from doing exactly that which God proclaimed mankind to do from the beginning, "Go forth and fill the earth." Love, marriage, and children are blessings from God. Who in the hell was Da Judge Rutherford to "go beyond what is written" and basically forbid it?

Imagine, you are 80 or 90+ years old, and you were told back at these conventions that the "End" was right around the corner, any day now, etc. So you give up your life to slave away for this publishing/real estate CULT. No career.....your family proceeds you in death, and no new family to take it's place. No children or grandchildren. Then one day you wake up and you're old and tattered, penniless. And what does the WT do for you? Tells you to go forth, be warm, and well fed.....THEY can't take care of you because it's not THEIR responsibility. Oh no....you are to rely on your FAMILY and the loving Congregation (who couldn't care less if you aren't filling a seat) for your physical needs. I don't know if my brain could take the hypocrisy and feeling of being like a broke dead dog.......I think I'd have to commit suicide to escape the misery.

i was contacted by the witnesses in1965, baptized in that same year at age 15. i was appointed an elder in 1975 and served as an elder for 20 years..

it hasnt been long since i learn ttatt and when i totally woke up.

Welcome. I totally would go back to where this Elder/Bethelite Tranny hangs out, and take photos of him from a distance with a camera that had a good lens on it. I'd make sure to get a shot of his entire body, with the face shown clearly. I'd then get 8x10's made of the best photo. I'd attend the next Circuit and/or District Assembly that he was speaking at. I would go into every men's bathroom and into every stall, I would tape the photo up inside the door. I would sneak other 5x7 photo's into the WatchTower's that were left un-attended at people's chairs. I'd slip wallet-sized photo's into each contribution box, with this guy's name printed on the back. This hypocritical douchebag would be in a JC before the end of the Assembly/Convention. I'd then set up an anonymous email account, and forward the photo along with description to every JW email address I had, as well as WatchTower Headquarters Service Desk.

This hypocritical scumbag has probably ruined countless lives while sitting on JC judging others. He's needs to have it turned around on HIM. What is he going to say? How is he going to blame YOU? How would anyone believe a word he would say after seeing the photos? The best photo of course would involve him dressed like that looking "flirty" with another man. Hahahahahaha!!!

I'm amazed this guy had the BALLS to look you over and basically threaten to "turn you in" (for what, buying beer?) while he is standing there dressed as a Tranny? I would knocked that c*cksucker right out of his high-heeled stiletto's for even making the implication. Then I would have taken a photo of his dumb azz laying on the ground as evidence of his activities, went before the Elder Body, and claimed that he was trying to proposition you and that you decked him out of disgust. Enter camera phone photo. Instant DF for this bozo!!!

i guess 99.9 % of ex-jw's here could have predicted as much .

armageddon didn't happen in 1914. it didn't happen in 1925. it didn't happen in 1975. and it did not happen in 2014. since the wt society first predicted a world's end when their organization started in 1879 - 126 years have passed which according to any dictionary in any human language 126 years comprises of 4 separate generations each totaling 30 years each.

plus 6 years into a 5th generation.

I was a youngster in the 1980's, and am now 35 yrs old! I too cannot even fathom that we are past the year 2000, much less 2014! The constant bombardment from the cradle on up was that the New System would be here before I even got to high school, surely before I graduated! (I did, in 1997) My son is 10, and I'm so glad I never filled his head with this end-of-world apocalyptic fear-mongering garbage!

Have I mentioned lately how utterly repulsed I am, to see what the religion of my youth (1980's) has "evolved" into? It is truly unrecognizeable. This type of self-agrandizing, shameless money grubbing, and showy display (HQ's and branches look incredible!) would have never flown in the old hard-liner religion of the 1980's. What an incredible sight to behold! They have truly gotten some outside PR firm to cook this sh*t up, cause I don't believe even they could promote themselves in such a fashion. Mormonism better watch out! Wait, who I am kidding? Mormons actually have schools and take care of their own, haha!!

Question: Are the women in the photo with the JW set-up, were they local JW's, or did they get off the cruise ship and set it up?

Reason I ask is simple, and think about this con!!!! You are a JW. You go on a cruise as a nice vacation. So what do you do? You wear your stupid JW.org pin on your clothing the whole trip. Then, at ports of call you drag out this literature cart and set it up on your way out for the day for your excursions. At the end of the day, you pack it back up into it's wheeled dolly and get back on the ship and leave. Now get this.....you count the ENTIRE trip, the ENTIRE vacation, as "Field Service Time" because you were "representing Jehovah." And if anyone was gullible enough to take any of the tracts you had sitting out, well then you get to count placements too.....for doing absolutely NOTHING!

^^^ That right there, would be pure genius. And honestly, I think that might be what happened cause I remember you said they were on the ship wearing their pins. UGH!!! Probably drinking booze like water too while wearing the pins! Ha!

I've been to Cozumel and took the 2.5 hr bus ride into Chitzen Itza and visited the ruins for a day.

Jesus didn't go "undercover" to point out the hypocrisy and injustices of the Temple Scribes and Pharisees of His day, did He? Didn't he actually go and turn tables up on them? That would have been very bold and forward at that time I would think. He wasn't all covert. Why then, should all of us be hiding under a rock? If this guy wants to up and enter a Kingdom Hall and turn tables on these Neo-Pharisees, I say let him do it. Maybe a few will think, "Gee.....if this guy has nothing of merit to say and it isn't true, why are the Elders trying to shut him up?"

I'd take that photo and make it my FB profile picture, just to piss off my "former" family. Cause I tell you, any parents that would treat me the way your parents have treated you, sure as h*ll wouldn't be called "family" to me. They would be called "crazy cruel cultists" that I would never want to see again.

Instead of weeping for what could of been, you should pat yourself on the back for getting your family away from such toxic individuals....because that's exactly what they are - TOXIC.

Dad's in the hospital? He's had a stroke? They are all sad and regretful? Well now, I guess they've reaped what they've sewn. Let the fine loving Congregation full of their "spiritual brothers and sisters" come visit them in the nursing home and wipe their azzes. Ha! (like that's ever going to happen!) After all, that's what the WT has continually piped into their brains, that YOU are DEAD, and that the Congregation is their family, right?

I feel for you and your situation, but not for the people who have inflicted so much pain upon you. Concentrate on your current family who actually treat you as such, and forget about the people who tossed you out like trash over 25 years ago.

THANKSGIVING: Began as the annual autumn harvest in Hebrew called "Festival of Booths" or "Festival of Ingathering" (of crops with thanks to Him) (Lev 23:33, Deu 16:13) now celebrated in numerous nations on many continents.

By denying normal holiday feasts and family gatherings, the JW.org has "gone beyond what is written." Actually, they are actually going against what the scriptures actually state.

Proof? Unlike the JW.org, I've got the scriptures on my side:

Colossians 2:16 says, "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by food, drink, a religious festival, New Moon celebration or Sabbath day."

^^ There's a scripture I bet the Org wishes didn't exist. They never quote it, and am surprised they didn't remove it from their "new and improved" silver sword Bible, what with it directly contradicting what they preach.
