My question is this:

Now that these 2, plus the other 2 that were appointed, what? In the past year? How long will it take them to "fatten up" like Mark Sanderson and Geoffrey Jackson, and the late great Anthony Moron da Turd, now that they're sitting pretty up in the Ivory WatchTower on their thrones, with their every whim and desire taken care of for them? They're not out in the Bethel Factory or even in the Service Dept anymore tolling away 10 hours a day. Nope! They're in the big Board Room now!!!! How long until we see them "pork up" and also start wearing some of the GB "Crown Jewels" from the infamous "Vault" were they have rings, coins, watches? The only guy I see not wearing that crap is Ray Lucionne, because he actually has some good taste and doesn't buy crap clothes off the rack. He gets fitted tailored suits! But how long till they show up wearing Rolexes, gold cuff links, etc?

Wonder how many complimentary bottles of McCallens they received upon their appointment? lol

with the statement in the study watchtower this sunday, that stop serving jehovah is a serious sin, the following:.

- can i conclude now, that we, (i, wife and 2 children), since 2008 pomo and no longer active in any religious activity, are serious sinners for jehovahs witnesses?.

writing this in a watchtower, a statement like that, could have big implications.. it makes me so sad.

I'm 45. I can remember "Independent Thinking" spoken about negatively and as basically a sin as far back as I can remember.

In short, anything you can come up with "Independent" of whatever WT HQ says is a "Sin", going against God, and "grieving the holy spirit." AKA: The Unforgivable Sin.

i am dismayed how jwn is being "dominated" or taken over by a few posters, peppering the comments.

in the past, the admin did not approve of this and did remove some posters from jwn.

Wow.......I just checked and I see I've been on here 22 years now. Seeing as how I'm 45, that means I've been on here nearly HALF of my entire life! I'm also proud to state that I've now been "out" of that dumbass cult longer than I was in! (escaped totally by the time I joined here for support)

22 years. The things that I've done and seen in that amount of time in my life. The incredible changes to this cult, that would have my parents and grandmother spinning in their graves if they were alive today! It's truly a sight to behold; like a trainwreck in slow motion, you can't not help but keep staring in awe as to what is transpiring.

So it's perfectly acceptable for these clowns to be "educated", when it benefits WatchTower, but the rank-n-file are denied this same education in order to actually, ya know.....make a LIVING?

100% correct! I thought exactly this even as a child. Back decades ago, the Governing Body were seen as an anonymous, quiet, grandfatherly group of cloistered men chosen by Jehovah to carefully guide the Flock during the Last Days of this wicked system of things. AKA: "Faithful and Discreet."

Before the "Body of Elders" were coined, men taking the lead in the Congregations were seen and referred to as "Servants", there to help the Flock. That all changed when the Elder Body was formed and the titles of "Overseers" were given out.

In biblical times, "Overseers" were PUT OUT OVER the Israelite slaves to keep them in line by the Pharoahs. They were no friends of the hard-working slaves. This same type of arrangement was also found in the Nazi Concentration and Death Camps. There were Jews who betrayed their people to gain favor with the Nazi's in order to have some small amount of power and extra benefits, better living conditions, etc. But it basically came down to them being Overseers and snitches.

"If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize." < I'd say this fits the current Governing Body to a "T." So they're aren't a "Faithful and Discreet Slave." Far from it! They are a "Governing Body", ruling and Lording it out over the rank-n-file Sheeple as if they were Jesus Himself, which in a way, they are! They profess to be His "brothers", the ruling class 144,000 "Princes among men." Proof of this? ZERO! They're in charge because they SAY they are in charge!

All of this, while they poor-mouth and profess to be "humble servants." Jesus didn't have a pillow to rest his head upon, but the Gluttonous Bozo's show up on camera in fitted suits, Rolex watches, gold jewelry, french cuffed shirts with gold cuff links, and are treated like Popes wherever they go. Absolute Idolotry! I think even Ken Copeland or Jimmy Swagart would be envious of the "obeisance" that they are paid at each and every meeting and Convention.

So yeah, the bait-n-switch that they've managed to pull on the dumbass Sheeple is truly a sight to behold.

Fully Colored Version of My Book of Bible Stories

does anybody know which edition of "my book of bible stories" had the fully colored pages?

i'm pretty sure it came out late in the book's life, but i'd like someone to verify which one it is..

I'd also like to point this out:

The original bible stories book (1958) "From Paradise Lost, to Paradise Regained", isn't even really an original title.

It's a combination and play on John Milton's two 1600's books of poems:

Paradise Lost

Paradise Regained

Now WT's title always sounded familiar to me, but it wasn't until I really started becoming educated that I learned about Milton's works and saw the titles and thought, "WTF? WatchTower can't even come up with original titles for their publications?" But then again, we're talking about a publishing company that lifted a photo off some booze or porno magazine of the girl in the water and placed it into a WatchTower article and also the red "Live Forever" book. Plagiarism. It's wild what these clowns have managed to get away with.

So frankly, WatchTower has never really had an original thought. Except maybe banning blood transfusions and previously organ transplants. Their unique in that martyrdom.

I'll also point out:

I have plenty of classmates I graduated High School with that I'm friended with on Facebook. They've got children, younger and also teen. Some of them are very active in their churches. Why? Because they aren't total borefests and offer upbuilding, uplifting, and positive things to do.

Mid to late 2000's, after I was first married, I started to visit some of my in-laws local churches. Advent Lutheran, Methodist, etc, etc. Just visiting, kind of to satisfy my curiosity and also to see how services were. Ya know, see if Satan was really running the show?

I tell you all, it was like a breathe of fresh air! Everyone was cordial and welcoming. I was probably the only person in their 20's in a full suit and tie except the Old Wanzzz. Most people were what I'd call "business casual", which is now what WatchTower has adopted. Anyway....there were separate services for the children, teens, etc. However, they could also CHOOSE to stay with their parents. Afterwards, they had their own age-appropriate activities. There were adult classes, other types of classes and courses throughout the week focusing on the bible, health, finance, helping the needy, etc. Also, there was a printed report, EACH WEEK....detailing out ALL of the accounts for the Congregation. What bills came in, tithes that came in, bills paid, money given to the needy, the poor, assistance, and also a separate line item for their Missionary Work/ers in a foreign land. Everything was out in the open for people to see.

People enjoyed being there. There was actual WORSHIP. The sermons were def more UPLIFTING and positive. There was a focus on God, Jesus, and the FRUITAGES OF THE SPIRIT.

Now there's a long-since dead term in JW-Land. The "Fruitages of the Spirit." This is not to be confused with the McCallens spirits that flow free at WT HQ. No!

Those Fruitages are now completely absent in JW-Land. They've been replaced with, "Listen, Obey, and be Blessed!" Oh.....and "Give until it hurts, then give some more!"

The youth at the churches I visited were involved, volunteered, had fun together. They're now adults with children of their own, and are continuing on. So really, which religions are being shown favor? Which ones are displaying Christ-like qualities and the Fruitages of the Spirit? Not the JW's, that's for damn sure!

So yeah, this cult is hemorrhaging youth from the self-inflicted death of a 1,000 cuts that it committed upon itself. If only they would accept transfusions?

To be fair, this whole "Threaten to quit your job if your boss doesn't give you time off for the Assemblies, cause Jah will provide a new job for you" line, is NOT a new phenomenon in JW-Land. I heard that shit from the cradle on up! (born 1979) My mother was an educated RN (obtained before converting in late 70's) and she would scoff at that stupid bullshit every time it was spouted out of some clueless dumbass janitor from the stage. Oh sure! I'll just quit my well-paying job because I can't get off to go listen to the same drivel I hear day-in, day-out during the regular meetings. Jehovah will magically make another RN position open up for me. lol! Get real! And today? Forgetaboutit! Yes, the WT leadership are 100% clueless and cloistered.

Example / Case in Point: That one video last year or so of this one middle-aged couple. We see them discussing their finances, planning, etc. They are obviously wealthy by their well furnished OUTDOOR grand patio, and apparently have so much $$$ they can afford to "downsize" to serve this greedy-ass Corporation full-time. Que seal clapping in auditorium: (((( CLAP-CLAP-CLAP ))) That is NOT the norm in JW-Land. Oh sure, for the wealthy trade business owners it is, but not for 99% of the rank-n-file JW membership. They are hand-to-mouth barely surviving. And that's mainly because an education was denied to them (AKA: "discouraged").

Man, f**k this cult. It's toxic in the extreme. Only a complete moron with no internet access would EVER be naive enough to join the JW's Mormons, or Scientology.
