  How did I get here? From Bible student to baby missionary

  my name is valerie.

  i thought i would add my story to the archives, in case anyone else can relate.. i am a homeschooling mom of 2 young children, ages 7 & 5. i was "saved" (overused expression) when i was a child, attended awana until middle school, and then led a basic, worldy life as a "good person.".

  one day, during a short separation from my husband, the doorbell rang.

  Jw will only respond to the bible, so if I were u and I have been doing this, is learn as much about the bible and scriptures that blow up there dogma. Example when u mention why there religion doesn't help people the responce was they do something better. U could of then metioned James 3:1 or showed it to them. The bible has so many scriptures that kills there dogma learn these scriptures. Another on is when your dad mentioned only the 144k go to heaven rev. Chapter 7 says the greatcrowd d are in heaven standing infront of the throne. I think showing these type of scriptures with proper comment is the only way to get them thinking.

  told my husband to put a muzzle on my mouth over the blood dogma.

  we all were driving around in field service when the topic of "which fragments would you take if you were in a car accident or cut yourself badly".

  said his choice is a personal one, another sister with chronic health problems said she had no problem with the governing body's new light on taking various fragments.

  And lets not forget with out any scriptures needed and there are plenty that blows up the jw blood doctrine all one has to do is reason did not Jesus release us from the law. Wish I would have woke up sooner.

  i stopped attending all meetings this summer.

  i prefer not to be dfed or to da myself.

  i just want to be inactive.

  Tell them your doing critical research of your religion just like that book of there's said to do and when your done you'll contact them with a hole bunch of question like why do we say the greatcrowd is going to be on earth when revelations chapter 7 says there in heaven and why is Jesus not the mediator of all humanity just the 144k even though the bible says other wise. They will probably leave you alone after this since they won't want to answer your questions. Elders don't have bible knowledge.

  Bumpy weekend ahead

  so my sister is coming to stay this weekend.

  although i'm sure she knows i'm not going to meetings, i don't know whether she realised i will not be going to any more meetings.

  not looking forward to that time on sunday when i tell her she's going on her own.

  so these last few wts have definitely eroded my wife's faith in the org.

  she is definitely seeing the bs, and i even overheard her talking openly about it to a family member.

  Yeah the preaching work is a bs excuse, one show her that the apostles did not go door to door and then reason with her that if the door to door is what its all about then why are many religious groups that started around the same time as the JWs have more members

  unfortunately she still does not know ttatt... the good thing is that my wife (her mom) is not shunning her!.

  i gave my daughter love & comfort and told her that nobody is ever going to divide us, i might not be happy with all of her choices and decisions but i just want her to be happy.

  my family is still asleep and still thinks this is the truthtm and my wife wants her to come back.

  I wonder if just sharing a scripture or two would be enough to open her eyes, like luke 21:8 in the new king james bible or better yet read Rev. chapter 4 were it shows that John is in heaven during this part of his vision and then show her chapter 7 were the 144k are sealed on earth and the great crowd are in heaven before the throne. Maybe if she sees this inaccurate teaching (1 of many) it will open up her mind for more TTATT.

  how often have witnesses knocked on your door since you left the borg?

  how often did they talk to you during street witnessing?

  in the past 4 years i have never been visited (live in a new area where nobody knows about my witness past, urban area, highly densed witness communities around).. this week i almost had to force them to preach.

  No not sad days ahead but good days. There's hope that because of the dumbing down of the message and the JW's themselves that they will no longer be able to talk people in to believing their crap. This religion needs to go bye bye.

  HOA suing us any help?

  just thought i would ask in case any of you have had any experience with a home owners association.

  i'm being sued for not paying dues and other fines and went to a mediation hearing a while ago.

  we explianed that we we never informed of the hoa when we bought the home and never signed any agreement, infact i was very explicit with everyone involved in the buying proccess to make sure there was no hoa since i did not want to buy if there was one.

Any way the HOA was defunct at the time so title, escrow did not know that one excisted. Anyway to fight this and win, going to contact a attorney this week but any help would be great thanks.

  Somewhat embarrassing confession - my step-MOTHER and her MOTHER are PROSTITUTES who love badmouthing other prostitutes (in print).

  i was born in my step-mother's home and lived there for more than 40 years before walking out mid-2009 never to return.. because i have rejected her and her mother, they now falsely accuses me of also being a prostitute.. i have made great strides in improving my mental health after living with these seriously twisted and demented women for so long.. this is some of what they have written:.
