subject: the year was 1903 .
what a difference a century makes!
the year is 1903 , one hundred years ago.
Can you use a syringe with the longest needle available and not hurt the bottle or expose it to air? Will it damage the cork much if you used it? Just thinking you can extract the contents of the liquid w/o damaging it.
Plus the stuff is probably so old that it's of no use or the cocaine effect is probably all ruined.

is it just me or does anyone else get really screwed up when they read something here on the board which they know is not factual and is utterly and completely wrong?
im not giving examples because youve all seen it.. what really gets to me is that when someone posts stuff that is completely factually inaccurate it makes all the posters here look like dummies.
i get to thinking about what all the jw lurkers must feel about "the stupid apostates" when they read some of this stuff.. i just wish that some people would do a bit of research before posting statements which they claim to be accurate.

to this date, it has never been proved who is responsible for the atrocities of the twin towers' destruction.
an absolutely appalling act.
who is responsible?

mike047 - YIZ; Would you find it acceptable to be one of the "few innocents"?
I find it unacceptable to allow 1000 child molesters and murderers to go free over a few innocents. Like I said, it's RARE that innocents be put to death. These things do happen. We don't want any innocent individuals be put to death for a crime they have never commited, but it's stupid to overturn the DP just because a few innocents might be put to death.
I would prefer a long term of "HARD LABOR" not the "COUNTRY CLUB" atmosphere of most, especially federal penal facilities.
Why should I have my taxpayer's money being spent to keep a murderer and child molester in prison to feed him, cloth him and keep a roof over his head? Tell me why?
Are you saying you would prefer Ted Bundy, Timothy McVeigh, Jeffrey Dahmer in prison for the horrible crimes they have done? Or how about what if we had another Adolf Hitler who killed 6 million Jews be put in prison than be put to death for what he had done?
Most criminals would rather spend prison time than be put to death and thumb their noses at their victims simply because they take it like a vacation time and they don't have to lift a finger to earn their food, clothes and a bed to sleep on because they know WE'RE paying for it out of our weekly paycheck, it's called TAXES.
Why you think real criminals are trying to weasel their way out of their just punishment and spend 20 some odd years fighting the DP while causing taxpayer's money MORE for fighting it (i.e. lawyer costs, court costs, etc) than accept their punishment. They know what they did was wrong and they don't care!
roybatty -
It does not deter crime. So what? Why does it have to? Does "life in prison" deter crime? Does the guy who's robbing a store and about to kill the owner and his wife stop and think to himself "hmmm...I had better not do this or I'll be imprisoned for life." No! The death penalty is the punishment for doing the crime. It's not meant to be a deterant.
I agree 100% with Roybatty. They're getting their just punishment by being put to death for their crime.
I got another point to make. Once a criminal proves they are capable of killing, what makes you think they won't kill again while in prison? These murderers are being placed in the general population where they have access to another human being and if he wants to kill again, he will. So it's stupid to to keep a murderer alive among the general population while placing other people who may have committed lesser offenses at risk of being harmed by them.
Even if they were put in a cell 23 hours a day and let out for an hour to shower and exercise. They are still dangerous because the guards are at risk to be harmed by a convicted murderer. A man if he's quick and strong enough can grab a guard by the head and snap his neck like a twig thereby killing him instantly. You can't trust a man to never kill again once he has proven to have the capability to kill a human being without thought or remorse.

This is like saying, "I rather see a thousand child molestors go free than one innocent man convicted" or "I rather see a thousand murderers go free than one innocent man convicted"That's it exactly what it is saying. Would you just rather hang everyone you think might be guilty and leave the questions for later?
So you rather have child molesters back out the streets molesting kids again? Do you rather see hundreds if not thousands more people dead by the hands of murderers? Is that your stake on this?
I rather keep those turds locked up and made sure they stay there until proven otherwise that they are truely innocent of the crime just for the sake of safety for the public.
Like I said in some other topic that was posted a while back that putting people death who are found to be innocent is RARE and doesn't happen very often. It's a very small percentage that happens.
The system is by no means perfect, but with DNA being available today, that will make it even more RARER than ever before. So there will be far fewer innocent people being put to death for a crime they never had committed.
I'll take this current system we have now today rather than abolish it altogether just for the sake of the few innocents.

ok.....i really need to have a personal bible reading again with no ones ideas but my own.
just me god and the bible!
i will most likely be looking in others but for 15 years the new world translation has been my base bible along with so-called bible-based literature.
I like the NIV myself for my personal bible study...
Ok.....I really need to have a personal bible reading again with no ones ideas but my own. Just me God and the bible!
I do the exact same thing myself.
Here's a good tip that I often use when I study the scriptures...
John 14 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Before I open the Bible, I ask God to send His Holy Spirit to help me learn and understand His word. Since the Bible says...
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is GodÂbreathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
(Whole Chapter: 2 Timothy 3 In context: 2 Timothy 3:15-17)
Greek: Godbreathed means inspired by the Holy Spirit. Since the Holy Spirit authered the Bible, He's the best source to go to when you have trouble understanding His word. It works great for me everytime. You'll see what I mean when you do that, it's amazing. I've learned not to rely on man anymore, but reliance on the Holy Spirit.
Also pick up the Concordance, that will help you alot look up Hebrew and Greek words so you can get a better look from the original translation. I love the Strong's Concordance. Here's one online...

I wish you luck on your studies and endevors.
