Can You Discern What The Society Is Really Saying?

so much of the watchtower is written in "code".

so much of the circuit and district overseers comments are spoken in "code".

for example, you are not told directly that you shouldn't read any other publication but the society's, but you are asked, "how could anyone spiritual ever have the time to keep up with their bible-based reading of all the spiritual food that we must take in, and still have time to read "worldly" books?

ok ; here's the best news i've heard against the wt in a while.

i'm listening to news radio today and here a grade school teacher in brooklyn , ms. addio a jw teacher would not let her students put up christmas or haunakh decorations in the class room .. now the teacher is in trouble with the board of ed.

is it not the jw's who always bullshit householders that they respect other people rights.. this sounds like a civil rights case$$$$$$$ i know it was in todays new york daily news.. maybe someone can find it and post it here.. it would be nice if someone would foward it to that lawyer kim norris... this sounds like a winner againgt the wt... john

funny how no one here see the violation of the students civil rights here.. if it was the other way around the wt would be all over this in court... well this is a big 1st amenment no-no and i will be the first to say this will hit the courts, and it will be bigger than the child molestion problem. it is stuff like this that will open the EYES of the public as everyone understands it. tell me what judge in the U.S. WILL SAY THE KIDS CAN'T POST THEIR DRAWINGS OF SANTA...LOL

Well one case wasn't about a drawing of Santa, but an angel.

A teacher asked the class to draw what Christmas meant to them. While the teacher made her rounds in the classroom observing the drawings of each student until she came across a little girl who was drawing an angel. The teacher became infuriated and snatched it out of her hand and declared to the class that religion is against the law of the United States Government and such drawings like the one she was holding up before the class will not be tolerated in schools.

She then tore it up in front of the little girl who then cried. She told her mother what happened she got home from school.

the washingtonpost carried a very powerful article on religion in china and it's growth-- for many years there is-- no god-- has been the offical position of the state- .

many persons believe that man has an inward desire to worship, while others feel it is merely a result of the suffering of man, that he looks for something better and thruout history one of the roles of religion has always been to promise it's followers a better life for temporary suffering now.

and any quick review of the lives of folks in china clearly shows that they need a hope and religion does sell hope- as jesse jackson said: "keep hope alive".

Maybe not 1 billion, but alot.

I have lived in Asia and old traditions die hard. They are more likely to cling to their traditional values and religion than embrace Christianity.

Some of them may change their minds and others may never change their minds.

One thing is clear though attempts to squash religion, especially by the communists, has failed. I can't see the UN turning on organised religion can you?

You haven't read Revelations. That day will come. So yes I can see it happening.

After the Rapture and the first half of the Tribulation, persecutions against Christians will spread worldwide simply because a "mark of loyalty" to the new one world government will have been established at that time in the future. Any of those that refuses to receive the "mark of loyalty" that pledges alliegance to the new government will be beheaded.

In fact, it won't matter if you're a Christian or not, even one is still a JW, Mormon, Muslem, etc. ANYONE that refuses the mark will be executed as an enemy of the new one world government. Revelation 13:16

Musky - I came across "voting", and it made me remember that I actually voted in the past election. I felt so bad afterward. Like I did something wrong. I wanted to know what it was all about. Being raised a witness, I never voted before.

That's the power of constant mind control and you just felt a very good sample of it.

There is a Nazarene custom that they do not cut their hair. So Jesus was raised as a Nazarene, so naturally like everyone else in that city, he had long hair. Plus he was easily identified as a Nazerene because of his hair, how else people in the bible recognized him as being one?
