ok i need some suggestions form others here on how to deal with anger as a result of being a jw for so many years.. i am normally an easy going person.
i am friendly and easy to get along with as long as you have a sense of humor and aren't a sexist.. i am trying to live well by finally going back to school and no longer living for this world to end.
i am much happier because of leaving the jw's.

It's normal to feel angry after leaving the cult. Anger is a normal reaction to abnormal circumstances. Rest assured, you are on the right track. A few semesters will go by and you will look back and see a lot of progress and growth on your part. Keep anchoring yourself to those realizations. Time is a great healer!

ok so i jumped through all these hoops after almost ruining my teaching career and i have finally been accepted on a course so i can teach school, instead of college.. and i got the go ahead today whoohooo.
ive been sedentary for a year, i suppose with all the leaving the witnesses and my job and my family and my licence, and ive put two stone on.. so how can i get myself feeling better and get rid of this god awful belly x.
You might want to check with your doctor for allergies. Some foods are undigestible, and stay in the stomach, if you have certain kinds of allergies. I know someone who lost 15 pounds when she stopped eating wheat. She looks great! She feels a whole lot better, too!

ladies, did you ever like someone so much and you have a pretty good idea that he likes you too, but he never ask you out, what do you do next?

Yeah ... I was in grade 8 and had no self-esteem whatsoever.
Now, it would depend on the circumstances. The more time you take to get to know a guy from a distance --- and you continue to like him --- the better chance of things working out, I figure.

again please fill in the blanks.... in my experiance, a window cleaner, skinny to the point of skin and bones, no real education but belives that everything he tells you is true if it comes from the borg, views the sisters as toliet cleaning minons and gets a real kick out of climbing the jw rank ladder!.

ok, here is one on the personal side of my everyday life.. i heard through another person that this female i know said i slept with her when i didn't.
why would a female say something like this if not true?
is their any logic to it?.

I am a woman, and one time another woman friend was out shopping with me. I happened to be buying bedding that day--- a really pretty "bed-in-a-bag"... Out of the blue my friend said,
"I'll get to sleep in that bedding!" in the store checkout.
Lots of people were around.
I thought to myself, "you nut ... rich fantasy life, or what?"
I'm not even a lesbian...but I thought about it a bit and figured maybe this woman is bi-sexual and felt attracted to me. I didn't know her very well and had no way of knowing what was on her mind. I didn't answer or even acknowledge her comment. I just paid for my new bedding and we left the store.
Water passed under the bridge. She moved away ... and so did I. The end.
No one said boo.
Now I know you are a man and this model is a woman/girl.
But, I figure what you resist persists. Have you ever heard the expression, "What you resist persists"...?
SOM...my suggestion is if you have nothing going on with this woman/girl... then let the whole thing go. Don't bring it to life.

it is a half hour dance show, then a half hour dance lesson, then general dancing till midnight.. this sounded okay.

Steven Hassan's book, Releasing the Bonds is one that I own --- and I have read parts of it. I found that Hassan could not address the issue with my kids who shun me. That door is closed with absolutely no communication. My kids are scared witless of me and it's what I taught them about ones who leave the borg.

What you said is dead on. Here is a key that people in cults do not comprehend, unfortunately. Really, it is as simple as that. When one gives over their free will and decision-making to another, that is "mind control."

i've stated this before on this message board but i was kind of curious about this and wanted to get some feedback from the group.
in particular, the ladies who are either current or former jw's.. about a year or so ago, my wife went with me to a church i was attending at the time.
we then later that morning attended a kh meeting.
She then said that if she could find her ideal man, it would most likely be a Jehovah's Witness man. My wife promptly agreed that such a man would be the ideal man to marry. Of course, I was obviously hurt by that remark since I was not such a man. Now I wonder if she does not compare what her life is now to what her life would've been like if she had married a Jehovah's Witness. I was so upset and hurt by it that I insisted that she and I have a nice long talk about it later that day, which we did. All she kept saying was that I do not understand what it is like to be a Jehovah's Witness man and she could not express what such a man is like.
Ick, such a sicko desire is all part of the brainwash. If these women want to be co-dependent with a man and a religion, if they want to be told they should do this and must not do that for the rest of their lives ... if they want to be treated like a little child for the rest of their lives ... or if they have to consult their husband before doing any little thing, sure they'd be okay with a jw man. If they like being a submissive mouse with no mind of their own... well, sure, they'd be okay with a jw man.
But, if these women want some independence and room to exercise their own free will, ... think again.
Sounds like they have not healed from dubdumb. Lots of old beliefs might be still lodged inside...sad to say.
