  I read the Bible

  I look around

  Take someone's kid and go out in the foyer

  I do my grocery list

  I count how may times they use the phrase 'governing body' or 'faithful slave'. ( I usually pick it up 4 or 5 times during a meeting)

  Are you angry? Are you depressed?

  Yes to both those questions. For me I will get past these emotions only when i can make a complete break. But the good news is that I am less angry and get less depressed today than i did 2 years ago when my eyes first opened. I believe that you go through a mourning process first and that you need to feel these emotions before you can go with your life. So I allow myself these emotions. it's all part of a process . I also know that one day I will be able to put the watchtower experience behind me and I can close a very looooooooooong chapter of my life. What a glorious day that will be!!!!

  reading the Bible without the interference of watchtower. I find that I pick up the bible and pray much more now than I ever did before.

  I been trying to build some true faith. I have been following the suggestions of fellow ex dub to look to the writings of the first early christians as these writings were close to the time of Christ. This has been very spiritually refreshing.

  Human rulers seek to establish their greatness by ?lording it over? the people and by seeking great titles?

  Even as a loyal dub the titles always bothered me.

  The worst "name droppers" are dubs. This is evident at assemblies where a speaker is always announced with his title and station in the borg.

  FDS Sends Convention Delegates Packin'

  jehovah's witness across north america are being sternly counseled at this week's service meeting that they should pack lunches during the 2004 dictrict convention instead of leaving the site to eat elsewere or return with food.

  in a letter read during the announcements, members are told this is a "serious problem".

  reportedly jws have been banned from some convention locations because the venues want concession stand business if jws insist on bringing carry-out meals into the facility.

  Mom Says She Probably Won't Go To Daughter's Wedding If Off Pioneer List

  my mother told me the other day that if push came to shove, she probably wouldn't go to my daughter's wedding if she knew she would be removed as a regular pioneer.

  she said that pioneering was something she chose to do over the last 40 plus years.

  if my daughter chose to marry an "unbeliever", then that was her decision.......obviously, some things are more important.

  When I was 11 or 12 i used to envision myself at age 16 already in the new system. Some mornings I would wake up and if the house was quiet enough i would run in the kitchen and hope that my mom would tell me that we were in the new system.

  What a poor deluded girl I was. I am 45 and the end is still not here.

  the local needs talk he usually gives was replaced by a talk he said will be given to many congregations around the world.. this talk is targeting th very young.

  kids are being strongly encouraged not to put off baptism and that children as young as 10 can make an informed decision to get baptized.

  kids are being strongly encouraged not to put off baptism and that children as young as 10 can make an informed decision to get baptized.

  The local needs talk he usually gives was replaced by a talk he said will be given to many congregations around the world.

  This talk is targeting th very young. Kids are being strongly encouraged not to put off baptism and that children as young as 10 can make an informed decision to get baptized. Parents were told that if their young children want to get baptized, they should not stand in their children's way.

  Also, the congregation was urged to simplify their life and to follow the example of the governing body. He said that the FDS is getting rid of property they don't need for pupose of simplifying things and that they are freeing up funds to better promote the good news.

  "The governing body feels that we are very close to the end" This expression is being tossed around freely recently . i have personally heard it from C.O. and bethel members here in Canada.
