I have heard that sometimes, TV performers make these things just to let the steam out.
Nearly - this was made for an out-takes competition.
Still, these dirty dirty people were entertaining children... *tut tut tut* :D Rainbow was the best!

Do you remember when you first Googled "Jehovah's Witnesses"?
by Funchback ini remember when i first googled "jehovah's witnesses".
i was sick to my stomach because i feared that i was disobeying jehovah.
although i was scared that i would find something "apostate" or "demonic", i still continued to click on different links.

It never OCCURRED to me to search for info on JWs online - I assumed no-one could possibly *truly* have anything negative to say, and I didn't particularly want to find JWs to chat to.
I got here via Skeptic's Annotated Bible to AJWRB, after seeing Panorama. -

Kidnapped/tortured girl found by internet sleuths
by bebu ingood news/bad news.
i'm so glad this girl was found; i am thankful that there is a volunteer organization called "perverted justice" that is working to uncover and convict online sexual predators; i am saddened that this girl had to suffer longer than she did because the police wouldn't/couldn't search for info on her computer...
btw, the website of www.perverted-justice.com is very good.

That is an absolutely incredible story - Xavier Von Erck is a hero and the girl is *so clever* for thinking of logging onto her account to alert people.
When Clark County detectives wouldn't -- or couldn't -- follow online leads, she asked for help from the Perverted Justice web site.
Heads should be rolling for this. -

My earliest memory is when I was five months old, and is of the little party after I was Christened (CofE), I remember my neighbour holding me, and I remember looking down at the cake.
The next memory after that was crouching down in the garden and saying hello to the neighbour's cat Amy... she scratched me down the nose! It was summer, so I was about a year old then.
My first memory of television was me sitting on the floor watching "John Craven's Newsround" (British children's news programme) and seeing the Mary Rose being raised. That was October 1982! I didn't realise quite how young I was when it happened (making it the first *datable* memory) until I saw a programme about it fairly recently. -

Nope, not offensive at all.
The *only* thing I would have perhaps done differently than the artist would be to make it the complete Israeli flag on the dog rather than just the star. -

Did GB Member Carl Klien gloat over Dulaps Demise??
by frankiespeakin ini'm sure we all who have read "crisis of conscience" by ray franz must have wondered if governing body member carl klein had it in for ed dunlap.
it sure seems like he was a manipulator,,he was even censored by the gb for it,, in reference to ed dunlap and even told to leave him alone.
i think we should think about it,, for a moment,, and think about how much it must have stuck in his craw,, for being censored.. .

Did he write the melodies or lyrics?

JW Holocaust Survivors Account
by Netty ini was told by a very active witness, that since jw's also suffered along with the jews during the holocaust, apparently damages were paid out.
the society manages the account with the survivors money in it, and supposedly looks for the survivors, or family of the survivors to get them their money.
does anyone know anything about this.

"Unlike other victims, most witnesses had a choice"
Yeah I remember studing WW2 and reading that exact phrase in a text book - what was the choice? To (even fake) support for the Nazi regime... *support the Nazi regime* that's unthinkable. Good for them for standing up for what was right and for their beliefs when they could have walked free! -

If they *are* making sure that people claim what they're entitled to, then good... but I wonder what would happen if the survivors or the relatives claiming on their behalf were disfellowshipped or disassociated since?
