The whole marking thing is most of it. It really let's them all personally CHOOSE who should be shunned and who's ok. More or less its a popularity contest. If you're inactive but in the in crowd, you're fine.... no worries. BUT if you're inactive and not real popular...... you must be doing something very bad!!!! I have never been in a hall that did not cliques, or some kind of political hierarchy within the R&F.

Faders shunned now?

Major goof in the Sept 1 WT article on Babel and the origin of languages
by marmot injust wanted to point out something that another poster brought up in the thread on the agm rumours, the writing department included a photo of a cuneiform tablet in their article on the origin of languages with a caption that states it is from 3000 bc.
this would pre-date the global flood myth and the fanciful tower of babel story altogether, hah!.

Not lazy.......smart. Make a statement, show any kind of physical evidence and they will believe it! Remember. .......you're not allowed to research outside of the WT......and now you're not supposed to look at old or past WT's or books.....only newest ones for the "brightest light". Its perfect! Not really shocking or surprising. ..... remember, the hardcore stand on voting has changed....yo keep the peace or avoid trouble. I've thought about this allot....and I go back and forth. On one hand, they wouldn't dare do a sweeping move like that. Their numbers would fall way way too much. BUT.....on the other hand, it would not surprise me. What have we always heard beaten into us from the stage? The service work it what makes them a "witness", it's a corner stone and a identifing sign of being a JW. So.....if you're not putting in hours over a period of time......you are not a true witness andcertainly not a JW. I know ALLOT of them....many of them in my family....and they beat on me, on that point. So....again....would not surprise me at all if they ever came down with something like that.
