  Faithful & Discreet Slave - NEW LIGHT

  ok........has anybody been hearing rumors about new light on the faithful and discreet slave teaching?

  i recently talked to one of my ex-bethel buddies and he said that an adjustment has been in the works for awhile now and that the new light for the fds will be that they will receive their appointment before the great tribulation and that they didn't receive it at 1918-19 as previously taught.

  their works (global preaching work, worldwide growth, etc) up until the point of the great tribulation will show that they have been faithful and discreet in caring for the lord's interests and worthy of "official" appointment before the end comes.

  I can't do it anymore.

  people who've been reading my posts will know i've been trying to get reinstated so i can get back together with my girlfriend/fiance.

  the more time goes on, the less i feel able to do that.

  all the things i hear from the platform, and the things that elders have said to me just reinforce the fact that i want nothing at all to do with this organisation anymore.

  When Kruschev was forced out, he sat down and wrote two letters and handed them to his successor. He said "When you get into a situation you can't get out of, open the first letter and you'll be saved. And when you get into another situation you can't get out of, open the second."

  Soon enough this guy found himself in a tight place. So he opened the first letter. It said,

  "Blame everything on me."

  So he blamed the old guy and it worked like a charm.

  He got into another situation he couldn't get out of, so he opened the second letter, which read,

  "Sit down and write two letters."

  ....

  What do you miss the most not being a witness anymore?

  is there anything that you miss, since you don't belong to the jw's anymore?

  friendship, family, or maybe just the feeling of belonging to some groupe that had you dreaming of a better world?

  i am interested to know whether jw's or ex jw's on this board really did believe 100%.

  did you have doubts all of the time, did you have some confusion or did you never doubt at all?

  i recognise that most on this board will have had doubts at the end but was this always the case when you were a good dub?

  so yesterday i was driving down the freeway talking on the phone with my jw mom.

  i asked when she and my dad would want to go out to dinner with me and my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years.

  she tells me 'your father and i can't share a meal with you.
