All of the JW doctrines are totally made-up fairy tales. There is no 'Jehovah' to begin with......it's all fictional. A comfortable belief system to distract people from the fact that when you're dead, you're dead. This life is all there is. Make the most of it.

Advice about going to Meetings...................oh why didn't I listen...LOL!!!!!
by KateWild ini have been back to meetings for a month now.
prepared for them all except for when i went on holiday.. todays wt is about jehovah's organisation, it's clear loaded language and manipulation through fear.
i am not perturbed by it in the least.

Here's the advice I always gives former Witnesses and those knowing TTATT: Do NOT continue to attend meetings or any other JW event. Doing so only gives the impression that there is something valuable to be learned. If you want to get loved ones free from the Watchtower cult, do so away from the Kingdom Hall. Going to the meetings will just give them the hope that you will eventually rejoin the Organization. STAY AWAY!!!

when they admitted me the registar asked my mother my religion.
she told them jehovah's witness.

If you're old enough to have a wife, then you are past the age when your Mother should be answering questions for you. My advice is to just go to the hospital and have them delete any reference in your files about 'Jehovah's Witnesses'. Direct them to ONLY listen to your WIFE's instructions should you not be able to answer questions yourself. Inform your Mother that you are no longer a JW and that she shouldn't involve herself in your medical treatment in the future.

Perfect Relationship, He Still Broke Up With Me
by tiff21390 inlast month, my best friend of four years and boyfriend of six months came home from a jehovah's witness convention.
he'd been acting strangely the entire weekend and i knew something was wrong.
i initiated a discussion and he said, "essentially our relationship is wrong and i'm not supposed to be with you.

Whatever fine qualities he had that attracted you can surely be found in someone else. Instead of dwelling on him and his decision to 'dump' you in order to maintain a fictional image to please his parents, get busy meeting new people. Take college courses, join special interest groups, see a qualified psychologist or counselor, volunteer for some worthy organization or charity, etc. There are countless ways to meet quality people. Just STAY AWAY from anyone who is involved with a cult-like group. Best wishes for a happy new chapter of your life!

Like I always tell non-JWs thinking of dating or getting into a romantic relationship with a Witness: RUN the other direction as fast as you can!!!! Unless the person fully sees the TTATT, it's best not to get or stay involved with them. They will always eventually feel guilty and drop you like a hot potato. There are millions of Non-JWs in the world with whom you are no doubt fully compatible. Start looking now for such a person. NEVER trust a Witness!!! They are very emotionally immature, as your boyfriend so aptly demonstrated.

Why do Atheists Celebrate Christmas
by givemejustalittlemoretime inscientist and atheist richard dawkins has admitted he does celebrate christmas - and enjoys singing traditional christmas carols each festive season.. the writer and evolutionary biologist told singer jarvis cocker that he happily wishes everyone a merry christmas - and used to have a tree when his daughter was younger.. dawkins, one of the most famous atheists in the world, was interviewed by sheffield born cocker when he stepped in as a christmas guest editor on radio four's today programme.. 'i am perfectly happy on christmas day to say merry christmas to everybody,' dawkins said.
'i might sing christmas carols - once i was privileged to be invited to kings college, cambridge, for their christmas carols and loved it.. read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-1100842/why-i-celebrate-christmas-worlds-famous-atheist.html#ixzz39dwxid00 ?.

A person doesn't have to be a Christian in order to enjoy the Christmas season and it's festivities. Much of what we call 'Christmas' is derived from ancient Pagan roots, celebrating the Earth and it's seasons and cycles. There is a difference in celebrating the RELIGIOUS aspect of Christmas and in celebrating the CULTURAL traditions of the Christmas season. Exactly the same reasons apply to the celebrations of Easter and Halloween. A person doesn't have to be 'religious' to enjoy those traditions. Birthdays are viewed by JWs in a 'religious' context, as a negative event, whereas for MOST people birthdays are simply a happy and festive CULTURAL tradition. These celebrations only have 'meaning' to the degree that we assign it to them.

My advice it to just STOP ATTENDING!! When you are asked about it, just reply with: 'I don't have anything to say'. Just keep repeating that line no matter what you are asked. Eventually they'll have to give up because you aren't giving them any ammunition to use against you. No need to change your phone number or address, no need to move to a different city or state. Just keep telling them: 'I don't have anything to say'. It works!!! They will soon go away.

New BOE Letter Re. Elders/MS Appointments and Deletions
by XBEHERE infrom the wording of the letter it seems that the co has been given carte blanche with appointments and deletions.
nowhere in the letter does it indicate that any records are sent to and from the co to the branch office.
even if a body wants to delete an appointed brother and he disagrees his only recourse would be to write a "brief" letter to the service dept.

Why anyone still takes these letters seriously is beyond me. How are window-washer Elders supposed to keep up with that endless nit-picking nonsense?? We can only hope that soon there will be a flood of elder and CO resignations as they finally get tired of jumping through endless hoops based on these letters. I wouldn't do it if they PAID me, and certainly not for FREE!!! And to any disaffected elders who may be reading this post: 'Haven't you had your fill of being the CO's unpaid slave??? QUIT NOW!!!'

Also, ask your friend to name ONE thing in which she disagrees with the Watchtower 'party line'....I.e. What is said in the Watchtower magazine. If she can't name anything, ask her what she would do IF she found something in the Watchtower she disagreed with. One of the hallmarks of a CULT is that members ARE NOT ALLOWED to disagree with what the leaders say. Please let us know how this goes when you speak to her about it. Hint: It's a cult!!
