Great Crowd JWs are not baptized like the Annointed are. The Great Crowd's baptism does not wash them of their sins, making them sinless, until way after Armageddon (1,000 year rule). But the Annointed ARE washed of their sins being 'sinless', as the recent WT study stated. So what is the point of the Great Crowd in getting baptized? They are getting baptized, not to get salvation through Jesus, but to ally themselves with the Annointed. Remember, as the recent WT stated, supporting the Annointed is how one makes it through Armageddon.

So, the Great Crowd is really baptized into their mediator, the Annointed JWs.

It sounds like you are newly awake. Just a couple comments for you:

Once you wake up, you can't go back to sleep. Don't even try. You will only cause suffering for yourself.

If you want to stay a Christian, you will eventually realize that Christ is your one and only head, according to the Bible (if you are a man or single woman). Salvation does NOT depend on an organization and even speaking such nonsense is blasphemy to Jehovah and the power of his ransom.

Yes. Manifest the spirit of God in your life by the way you treat others and your own body.

2. i can't find any other religion who has broken thru all the racial barriers and teach the same stuff worldwide....In all honesty I do trust "most" jw if I were to stay at their house or vice versa.

LOL. All cults say this. Moonies, LDS, JW, Jonestown.

3. If some of you don't believe in the organization, why attack it or stand outside assemblies etc trying to spread the word of being against them, what benefit is this?

That is not effective and I would NEVER do that.

4. I have read and seen throughout history that they could have wrong teachings and that yes they have been wrong in the past about some things, jw normally say well we changed and the light got brighter. What is a good reply to that??

How about when they teach one thing, then change it, then change it back to the first teaching! Is that the light getting brighter?

5. Most JW don't even read the bible, they just automatically think its the truth and follow it no matter what. If I bring up a question to an elder they auto think I'm against it, why is this?? Honestly ....

All in all, I still attend but lately thinking it's only because of friends and family. I have so many doubts, I'm actually stuck of feeling like hey what if it is right and I leave then I wont be accepted in paradise? Or what if I fade away and will be just fine but with all friends, wife and family would look so down upon me. I do believe there is a god and I do hope there is a paradise or heaven that we can be in because I really don't think our life was just meant for 100 years or less then nothing. Wish I had all the answers :D

The meetings have became slightly boring, same stuff every week, elders never want to use you unless your friends with them or if they say jump and you say how high. They have been caring more about their reputation than helping children IMO.

Just so so confused lately and it's driving me nuts.... :/

Just take it slow. Pray for Jah's guidance everyday. Study. Get a hobby.

I've been studying with the Bible Students. Do I think they have the "truth". Hell if I know! But, learning about what Russell really taught and what Rutherford did to the WT was the last straw.

See pages 26 and 27 regarding the sheep and goats parable. For a second, I thought they were going to agree with Russells timeline (Sheep and Goats judgement takes place after 1,000 years is over). Was disapointed. It is very obvious that they don't want people to be students of the Bible anymore. "Just listen to us and pray Christ won't kill you" is the message. Gah!!!!

Matthew 24:36-37

37 for just as the days of noah were, so the presence (parousia) of the son of man will be.. i had always thought jws took 36 as meaning christ's coming at armageddon (erchomai), after the 1914 presence (parousia).

however, the greek word in 37 is parousia.

I had always thought JWs took 36 as meaning Christ's coming at Armageddon (erchomai), after the 1914 presence (parousia). However, the greek word in 37 is parousia. So, verse 36 is talking about Christ coming at Armageddon? Or, is it talking about the parousia? We were always told the "day" is when Jesus comes to kill all non-jws.

So, it looks like Great Crowd (GC) JWs are actually 'piggybacking' on the baptism of the Annointed to get through Armageddon. No wonder JWs are told they have to obey the Annointed without question and their salvation depends on that obedience! I can see changed doctrine eventually being that only the GB are the remaining Annointed.

What business, then, do great crowd JWs have in getting baptized now? It is certainly not necessary. Unless, they are truly getting baptized into the Annointed (as in, the Annointed is their Jesus - e.g. mediator).

It makes much more sense, considering all of this, that the separating of the Sheep and Goats is done, not at Armageddon, but after millenial rule is over! Why? Because, according to the WT, the Great Crowd has not been washed clean of sins. They are only "relatively righteous". So, how can they be counted as Sheep if they are not even washed of their sins!

Remember, the parable of the sheep and the goats says of the Sheep, " but the righteous into eternal life". Again, how could the Great Crowd go into eternal life if they have not been washed clean from the ransom. My impression has always been that the GC would have to stay faithful after Armageddon all the way until the 1,000 year rule was over. Every JW knows that the Sheep are not given eternal life right away. However, remember that WT says the Goats of that parable go immediately into "eternal destruction".

So, when does the ransom take effect for the great crowd? I know it takes effect for the annointed when they are baptized and receive holy spirit. it is then they that are proven sinless. i know this isnt so for the great crowd. the great crowd makes it out of the tribulation and have "washed their robes in the blood of the lamb" (Rev. 7). So my question is, when does WT believe the great crowd will have benefits of ransom applied in behalf of their sin? references please!
