for any christians, i'd like to get your opinion.. i believe that all organized religions are a part of babylon the great.

this includes the jw organization, in my opinion.. what do you feel is required to "get out of her"?would disasociation / disfellowshipment be appropriate?if one chose not to dissasociate himself, would it be wrong to still attend meetings with the hope of turning some to the bible?when jesus speaks of the scribes & pharisees do you feel that these could be compared to the elders or the gb?if the scribes and pharisees are among the religions of babylon the great, what would be the signifigance of jesus words at matther 23:2,3?

Backseat - I feel that a lot of people become obsessed with "Truth". And you are absolutely correct Jesus did provide a lot of tools.

This is the reason, Millions of people believe in their own version of the Truth, based on what the Bible Says.

A prime example, "Hell" and eternal torment, are in the Bible - Revelation 20:10 - " 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever"

The Trintity is in the Bible John 1:1

You are also right, it is Difficult to Start with Biblical Hebrew, and 1000s of years later to arrive at English.. I'm sure people that can read Biblical Hebrew have an easier time grasping the meanings.

It seems that there are tests in the bible, tests that measure our faith.. Example John 6:56 " Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him." This could have been explained in so many ways, but by saying it this way there could only be 2 outcomes. The listener would either become stumbled and stop walking with Jesus.. Or the listener would say to himself "I don't understand this saying, but I know Jesus, and I know that his way is upright, I will be patient and hope to understand it better later"

The Bible has multiple messages built into it. You can get a little or you can get a lot from it, you can also get stumbled by it, or stop believing completely because of it.

Faith combined with Holy Spirit , will allow anyone to read it, and understand, what is required of them to gain Salvation.

As for Truth,only God possesses absolute Truth, he can can reveal it or hide it in any way that he sees fit. If we focus on the Fundamentals of the Word, and we humble our selves we can understand all that God allows us to.

Cold Steel - thanks for the comment. It's reasonable & practical. It's clear that Jesus did not refrain from associating, with people just because of their beliefs, or even because of their lifestyle. He healed based on Love and he healed sinners and believers alike.

Something that stands out to me is his method of teaching.. He did not focus on other peoples beliefs, and why they were wrong, rather he convinced them that following him was the best and only way to life. He taught with Love & not Hate.

One last thing, he did not request to be Killed. He simply stuck to the truth, and taught the truth. This is what made people hate him.

Thank You all again...

I will need to review all of this as we'll.. There are quite a few good points, that have to be weighed against everything else.

One other thing that I'm factoring into All of this is, Matthew 13:30 - " Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest season, I will tell the reapers: First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up; then gather the wheat into my storehouse.’

I believe the wheat and the weeds to be Some sort of Christian's - Not just a "Member" of a christian church, rather A Christian that has received the free gift of holy spirit to some extent.

It seems to be significant, that they are growing together. Could this mean, they are members of a Christian Church? Or does it mean, they are not members of a denomination and they are the body of Christ?

Meeting Today

me and the spouse looked over the wt and decided it wouldn't be in our best spiritual interest to stay for the wt (we usually don't anymore).. so, took the kids to the public talk (was actually great, nice brother), took them outside for a snack and snuggled/played...and then left (an hour early).. .

felt great!

gotta do what you know is best for you spiritually!

Yeah I know how you feel lamb.. After spending some time reading the bible, the WT really discourages me. Not to mention when you have to sing a song that is all about GB and elder praise.

i would like to share my understanding of armageddon & the end of the 1,000 year reign.

i would really appreciate any criticism, or facts that dispute this understanding... especially if the facts are from the bible.. - adam & eve were perfect and they sinned with a perfect mind & body.. - all mankind that has lived since adam & eve have been imperfect, none have had the ability to resist sin, nor have they had the ability to see or understant absolute truth that can only originate from god.. - if imperfect humans were judged, while still imperfect, one could reason that adam & eve had been given a better chance at life then what the rest of humanity was given.. - 1 john 4:8,9.

- 1 timothy 2:6. armageddon.

Humbled - I was careful to not state that my understanding is truth, or fact. You are also correct that there are other sources that should be considered when compiling facts. If there is another resource that you have used, that has proved beneficial please let me know and I will examine it.

- Adam & Eve were Perfect and they Sinned with a Perfect Mind & Body.

- All mankind that has lived since Adam & Eve have been imperfect, none have had the Ability to resist Sin, nor have they had the ability to see or Understant Absolute Truth that can only originate from God.

- If imperfect humans were Judged, while still imperfect, one could reason that Adam & Eve had been given a better chance at life then what the rest of humanity was given.

Armageddon

- Revelation 19:20 "And the wild beast was caught, and along with it the false prophet that performed in front of it the signs with which he misled those who received the mark of the wild beast and those who worship its image. While still alive, they both were hurled into the fiery lake that burns with sulfur."

- Revelation 19:21 "But the rest were killed off with the long sword that proceeded out of the mouth of the one seated on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh."

It is clear that the Humans opposed to God during The War of Armageddon Do not receive the same Judgement as The False Prophet & The Wild Beast.

These Humans are not killed at all.. The Long Sword, that Kills them is Actually The word Of Jesus that stabs them through the heart. All of their wicked works and foolish ways become dreadfully obvious to them. Reference Luke 2:35 / Romans 13:4 / Hebrews 14:12

After the 1,000 years have Ended.

- Revelation 20:10 "And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulfur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."

Just like Revelation 19:20 the Humans that are misled, do not share the fate of Satan.. only he is Thrown into the Lake of Fire.. Only two othera are already in the Lake of Fire.

Now After All Of This Judgement is Rendered.

Revelation 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds."

NOW Humans are thrown into the Lake of Fire Revelation 20:15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.

Thoughts After Saturday Morning Service

went out with a good friend in service this morning.

my spouse and kiddos joined us.

me and my spouse are awake jws, have gotten over the initial shock and disgust with some of the lame wt doctrine, and are determined to let god direct us wherever he may (even to another church - i'm going to a baptist service tommorow).. we have fun doing a little bit of service with the kiddos, letting them watch deer, play with sticks, and write not-at-homes down.

As for the 30's generation, we are the first generation to have the internet in our teens. However we may be the last generation of JW's to gain appreciation for the Bible from being a JW despite all of the noise & manipulation.

20 Years ago we had book study, and we were somewhat permitted to discuss bible topics amongst ourselves we also had freedom to express our opinion from the stage... We received enough spiritual nourishment.

The meetings now are only focused on GB worship and Brain Washing tactics... I don't think it is possible for a teenager to come to appreciate spirituality now.. For this reason a large percentage of young JW's don't leave the organization because its a lie, rather sin consumes them and they abondon a Christian lifestyle completely.

The internet and Apathy may result in a steep decline in Publishers.

one of them said she 'found the truth(tm) but i knew she was a born in.. i wonder how many born ins pretend they 'found' the 'truth(tm) but actually mean when they were 'baptised(tm)' just to sucker people in?.

Yeah.. Before I had any doubts, I never really understood that reasoning.. "God has drawn every JW into his Organization,and they are only witnesses because he wanted them individually.."

So maybe the born ins are like John The baptist, each and everyone of them were formed by Gods Hand and predestined to be in the organization. WOW!!

And of course if they leave the truth, it's clear that God did not desire them any more .. Ugh.

Perception can so easily be warped.
