wasn't raised in it, no relatives in it, and aside from my first one or two years of being involved with it, i didn't believe much of it.
but at the point where i first started having doubts creep in, instead of investigating those doubts, i turned off my brain.

I have always been a readaholic and read many forbidden novels that I had to hide from my parents as a young teen. This weighed heavily on my conscience because I knew the J*****h KNEW, and that I was being bad and 'worldly'.

if there ever is a law suit for hurting disfellowshipped ones i cirtainly want to be part of it.
i was really messed from my disfellowshipping, it was a year and half after a masive head injury.
and they the elders did not do me any good, no matter what i may have done at the time.

This is a very tough thing to do. I'm sorry they were so cruel to you. Kindness and compassion seems to be nonexistent among them at times!
As Shera said, you are a different person now. A couple of my friends went through similar experiences (one has no memory before 26, when his accident occurred). He has a built a new life that he is very happy with now, although it took a bit of time. Don't lose hope, my friend!!!

... some drivers, when wishing to make a turn or change lanes... wait until the very moment right before the turn/change... to put on their signal light to indicate their intent... or fail to even use it at all... and then get upset and honk all crazy-like (which, for me, sometimes scares the bee-jeezus outta me!)...

the first time I went was in the mid-70s - there was a shop on Bay Street that specialized in rock'n'roll footwear - they had all kinds of "K*I*S*S" boots and stuff, you know 4-inch platforms, thigh-high leather, I'll never forget it. I thought wow, a store just for weird shoes.
the CN Tower is a pretty wild ride as well!!!
As a teen, it was something else to just see and experience all the stuff we don't have here. It's an amazing real "big city".
