I feel sorry for just about everyone else.. even the elder's wife
by ohnightdivine ini've been busy with with being busy after knowing ttatt.
after this sunday's meeting i was invited over by one congregation elder's wife to an afternoon coffee.
we're not very close because of the age gap but we've "known" each other for so many years now, being in the same congregation.. she is like the anchor of the group.

each year tens of millions of dollars are spent caring for the expenses of traveling overseers, special pioneers and missionaries".. so the gb wants you to support their "kingdom interest", but can care less about the local congregation pioneers who for some struggle to make ends meet, who use their gas driving all around the territory putting wear and tear on their cars sometimes not getting gas money to take care of their expenses, let alone any repairs needed.

Do you remember the girl in the coffee shop?

the sister she was studying with i knew, from my ex kh.. i saw them again today.
i acted on the advice from my previous post and wrote a note.

No mention of Satan in 5 church attendances!!!

Laika, hi there. 3 services at a C of E church and 2 at an Anglo-Catholic church.
I actually preferred the Catholic Mass, it was most theatrical!!
I seriously used to lie awake for about 3 years, worrying about Satan and his demons. And me a logical woman!! The brainwashing is pretty effective, eh??

I saw them again today. I acted on the advice from my previous post and wrote a note. I asked one of the waitresses to deliver it.
I advised her to be wary of her involvement with the JW's and to look at jw.net and jw facts. She was actually baptised in September, my son told me. I signed it " a friend." I later saw them walk out together looking normal....as they can be, anyway.
I did'nt change a life but I did feel better for speaking out.

The issue of land and a new KH.

there's bloody loads around here and in other areas which would be suitable.
what's the deal with this?.

Yes, The Searcher, they were talking about consolidating 3 maybe 4 congs.
I got the impression it was a to be done on a shoestring, if poss.

Don't let your job interfere with your meeting attendance
by Quarterback inrecently, a public speaker brought up this point that i remembered being preached in the 70's.
when they bring this matter up, they always manage to give you an experience of how one person stood his ground, and got a great job offer, as a result.. what about the many experiences of ones that were not blessed?
i can memtion horror stories of ones that should have kept working their meetings..

They tried this with my husband when he was studying.he basically ignored it and has been doing great in his career and is an excellent provider.I couldn't cope with the micro management system and da'd in December.how dare they control people in this way.
