Anyway, just to carry on here. I have BATTLED with my conscience for years regarding the IUD. I don't like taking the contraceptive pill and I don't want his Lordship to have a vasectomy. So, I have finally decided, after many years to have the IUD. This is contrary to what the WTS says, as conception "may" occur. A possibility but not norm.

What are others views on this subject??

At the end of the day, I was'nt going to let some guy in the GB dictate my contraception methods. Sorry if this offends anyone.

Tricky. I had a conversation with a non-JW friend about this last month. We were observing an older couple who had a Downs Syndrome teenager. She was quite a handful, God bless her. Now, we discussed what we would do if we found out were we pregnant with a child like that or with similar disabilities etc....

I said and then I knew, in my heart, that I would not proceed with the pregnancy. Then I knew that my feelings (and others I have), made me a hypocite to be a JW.

I have had (in my teens) a termination and I do sometimes wonder...how old the child would be, what my life would be like if I stayed with my then boyfriend. I'm not sure if I feel regret. It was my choice and it was the right one at the time. I have a son now and I'm so glad I do, so it makes me think about what could have been.....

Jesus always taught us we should'nt judge others. No church should be allowed to take a woman's right to choose.

I was also interested in the idea that the world is older than the WTS says, if you accept carbon dating and stuff. Another good discussion to be had. Also, why did we have dinosaurs and why did they die out???

when i reason about these things now i just wonder how stupid and naive i was to accept this rubbish , ok i was 19 and not happy where my life was going back then and jumped at the chance of a better life and future that was offered to me.and it took me another 33 years before started to see the flaws in this bizarre religion .

thankfully my wife & 2 sons are out .. satan is a spirit being , angel ?

do they have a finite life span ?

Flaming 'eck, our kid!!!! That's a bit if a facer. I can see your point, definitely. It does'nt seem fair that Satan was allowed to tempt an innocent human. It did cross my mind when I studied the "What does the Bible Teach" back in March. I nearly said "that was a bit of an unfair advantage" or something such. I can't wait to have this discussion with my husband later. Over a bottle of wine, or two of course.

had this conversion with my dad earlier today, hes an elder...both my parents were laid off during the recession, however, they saved and lived a decent life.

after all of them i have realized, all of you have made me realized that after all of the stuff i have been through, i just need a good friend.

and regardless of how hostile our discussion could get i have felt that you have all shared something with me that have helped me.

Be careful my love. The people in the KH only love and accept you if you do what you're supposed to do. That is NOT real love. I found this out and it was a VERY painful lesson. I walked away and you would be too.

i've been studying ttatt for nearly a year now, i'm pretty much convinced wt theology is a crock, but i can't just leave as i don't want to lose family, and i simply can't disappoint my elderly aging parent.. .

i'm prepared for the long game fade (could be a few years), but have been sowing seeds with the wifey little bit by little bit.

JW and did his best to keep my normal. I cannot say the truth has made her a better person. She has one personality for the KH and another for at home. She went mental when I got married out of the truth 10 years ago. Shame!!! I will not miss her because I have DA'd myself.

Because I could not stand;

1)a lot of the congregation, the smug elders (bitches) & MS wives.

2)the pervy/possible sex offender MS leader.

3)the so called "disabled" Service Overseer who was a fat, greedy, lazy pig who just NEEDED the gym.

4)the Watchtower bloke - a total wideboy "memememe" type who loved the sound of his own jokes and pathetic humour. Sometimes quite hurtful but they said "oh, that's just so and so's humour. Not very Christlike whatsoever.

5)AND the weirdos......

That's why I HAD to leave. I was going up the wall with the craziness of it all.

I've always beleived being true to oneself and that's why I had to leave.

The main message I always thought the Bible was about; "God loved the world so much he gave his only begotten son."

God is love. Love does'nt boast. It beleives and hopes all things etc.....

I don't think In my humble opinion that it came with any "conditions", as such.

I was only a lowly foot soldier so maybe I missed something??
