I was just thinking that same thing today actually. Do the GB and upper echelons of the WTBS believe it all? All this paradise earth, reseurrection stuff etc....

i just read an older post on this site that was recently bumped (http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/6600/1/don-adams-biography) the post mentioned the adams brothers don, karl, & joel and how influential they are/were at headquarters.

August vacations cancelled
by wandasoo inhad a vacation planned for august, but got the rug pulled out from under my feet.
hubby said he wanted to go in september, but gave me no reason.
i finally told him i knew he had to pioneer in august.

Resurrection talk at convention
by innerpeace ini didn't go to the convention but have family who did, all are going on about the resurrection talk, how there wasn't a dry eye in the arena.
and apparently a video was shown too on it.
we lost a family member some years back and they are on fb talking about the resurrection and new world coming soon.

she is elderly and had heart problems and is hard of hearing.. she is a tiny thing and very loving.
she is a convert and had been "in" for around 20 years.. she came "in "after her divorce.. we started hanging out together a couple years ago when i called her for a ride to the meetings.. .

need advice
by search4truth inmy spouse felt a need to tell to elders about me reading apostate websites and speaking against wt stuff , so they'll probably try to readjust my apostate thinking any time soon.
my spuse never see me reading anything but, during our arguments i did't keep my mouth shut and she knows that i had to read it somwhere and it wasn't jw.org.
could this get my in the trouble if my spose is the only witness and never spoke to another person about this stuff ?

Please forgive me for being so frank BUT I think it's totally out of order that she "grassed" you up to the Eldubs. I would go mad if my hubby had done the same to me. Her loyalty should lie with you, not those imperfect men who aren't even properly qualified to minister to the congregation. They have no formal training, knowledge or titles that are recognised in the theological sense. I am so angry for you.
You need to sit down and talk to your wife about your marriage. Urgently.

Ensure that you dont appear to be Negative , Unhappy or Bitter
by stuckinarut2 injust a quick thought.... we know that the org loves to paint all those who fade or leave as "negative, bitter and unhappy"...because of course "the truth is the happiest way to live".
so, never allow ourselves to be that way when talking with witnesses, or family members still in.. show them that we are happy, our lives are fulfilled and positive.. then they have no ammunition.
also, it helps other doubters to see that there is life in the world beyond the org..

I would have to agree. When I speak or see my mum, I have to remain totally positive, otherwise she'll start!!
Witnesses tend to blame everything on Satan and the demons, rather than taking life as it comes.
