So you believe in the Bible and you don't know who Jesus is.

I have a similar problem understanding the contemt of the Bible. Are you aware that Jesus did not contribute anything to the Bible. It is all he said what he said. Have you ever wondered what the going concensus was before the time the Bible was written? THe time of the mystics. The times of Zoroastrians and the like. If you read some of the works that were written long before the time of Christ, there were events that are identical to the events of the new testament. Very interesting. Plagerism maybe?

I don't believe that the Trinity doctrine is a salvation issue, but IMHO a good understanding of it certainly answers many of the conundrums that scripture presents. It was a position I arrived at through bible-reading alone, prior to involvement with any church or Christian group.
I think Im there with you Bro-Toe. Esspecially the conumdrums part.

Would you worship at a church that doesn't teach it?

I might, because I can tolerate a fair deal, but I suspect that I wouldn't make it my "home church".

I'm a bit picky about where I make my home, and few of the churches I've attended in the USA would meet my criteria. I prefer it spartan, with an emphasis on good teaching. Trimmings just distract me from what I see as the whole point of worship, which is communal ritual and attunement, along with something for the mind to chew on.

I probably need to go try a Quaker meeting house sometime, though I understand they're not so hot on doctrine.

I take it you don't really know how you came up with a speaker change in Rev. 22. I guess you only know what the "Jehovah's Witness's" say about that and it is really..."off" lets say. Guess the Bible speaks for itself of who Jesus really is! Amen!

The JW's have such a strong history of teaching such false belief's that are so far from the truth. That makes me have a hard time believing ANYTHING they have to say.

To me I've not really researched the trinity a whole lot. However I have researched the deity a whole lot though. I'm not a trinitarian buff, but I do know who Jesus is, He is God (John 1:1). What I also beleive is is that if you deny Jesus of his true identity, then you are not right with God. I am convinced He is God made human. I am willing to give my life for that also. I will worship him all the days of my life. I will follow him. And I will continue to tell the story of Jesus to all my friends and family who don't know him.

I grew up in a dead church where the bible was not preached. It was the blind leading the blind. My home church had no more "Jesus" in it that the YMCA does. The YMCA is supposively the Young Mans Christian Association and my home church is supposivly a Christian Church. But there is no more worship, learning or fellowship going on at the Y that at my Church back home. Thank God Almighty I am not there anymore. And I will make sure that I seek God's will which is to Spread the Word and bring others to Jesus. John 10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."

Isn't it great to be saved! And know that we will be with Jesus in heaven!?!

The closer I get to God, then the greater of a burden I have to Shout it from the Housetops, Proclaim it from the Mountaintops, and tell the world around Jesus Saves.

Let me ask you this. If you knew on the morning of 9-11 that 2 airlines would be crashed into the WTCs and kill thousands of people in a burning fire what would you do? I bet you would probably run up and down the stairs at 7:00 that morning shouting "Get out, Get out, Get out!!!" We probably agree here. Now if you sincerely believe in a hell, where there is weaping and gnashing of teeth. Would you not tell everyone you know that's not saved about the danger of death apart from God. Where you will spend and eternity in hell where there is weaping and gnashing of teeth, where you wish you could "get out". If you love others, then we should tell everyone we know who Jesus is and how he can save us from the fire.

To me, this sounds as fanatic as the jws, or like a lot of evangelicals. You talk about how you "know" that Jesus is in heaven, and you will be there with him, after you die, you "know" this and you "know" that...when religious people start using this language, about how they know this and that, then I personally want to get up on a rooftop (just like you) and yell: They`re all full of crap! They don`t KNOW anything at all! They BELIEVE! There is a difference! Run, run, run away from them, as fast as you can!

Does that make me the devil?

I can't believe somebody would post a link to one such as Macgregor Ministries. I've read there material and scholarship and exegesis is something that is entirely missing. Most unfortunate that ones actually buy into stuff that is so easily proven untrue.
