done4good: What we know of creation...

What do we know of creation? I am often fascinated when people confuse a threory to describe the means of progression and transition with a theory of causation. Evolution does not even attempt to explain origins, and creation does not exclude evolution.

Yet, people on many sides of this issue (for, there are indeed many sides of this issue) seem compelled to oppose the two ideas when they are NOT opposites.

Not picking on you, here, done4good. I just used your recent post as an example of what I have seen woven throughout this thread. If anyone can explain this schism, I would be pleased to consider the explanation.

    Respectfully,

stevenyc- last post on this subject, i can`t listen to anymore of these ridiculous arguments. I`ll let others fight the corner for creation.

    Explanation in part:

I've noticed that many replies have been made by posters not actually reading what others have written, but just assuming.

Also, this topic, 'believe it or not', can become quite contentious. It rattles the cage of most people because it is part of 'THE big question'.

What is interesting is that often those who believe in a Creator tend to appeal to what they percieve to be the higher moral ground in many of their arguments, peering down their noses at the brutal and heartless beings who acknowledge the reality of the survival of the fittest in *every* sphere of life. But Creationists are often disposed to avoid the moral maze that results from having to explain why the Creator designed everything on this planet to feed on everything else to survive.

The 'creation', from its most microscopic is a nightmare of ambush, deceit and violence perpetuated by the ever-present fear of untimely death. What does this tell us about the 'Creator'?

Life is just not cricket, when you happen to be the bat.

Can someone get the creator god going?

If God created time and is supernatural, why would He be suject to it? He is supernatural. I don't need to give you a natural response to that question. You on the other hand have no other force to attribute nature to, or do you? I will accept a supernatural explanation from you for the origin of life if you would like.

DeputyDog, Do you not think that God had the capability to design the start of the Universe in a manner that it evolved to where we are now?

That sounds a little supernatural does it not?

What are they going to do - eat the Creationists, or be eaten in return?

God never had a beginning and never has an end ?Jesus walked on water ? Daniel in the lions den ? Those three dudes Nebuchadnezzar tossed into the furnace ? Two of every creature on earth in a ark ? What about the insects ? ARE KIDDING ME ! No way we came from two naked people in some garden. Its all one big story that people have been Fuc...ing up for centuries. Kind of like when you have a line of people and you start at one end with a story and by the end of the line its a twisted version. Only the story was bullshit to begin with. That's what's in my head right now. No offense to any who still think those things where/are possible, but to logically think about it, now that I look back it seems kind of silly.
