    Keep it coming Perry.

You'll make me never pick up a Bible again.

Well, I wasn't planning on it anyway, but thanks for helping me see so clearly what I've been missing.

Wow these are the kind of guys (religious fanatics) that really give me the creeps. Underneath all the God talk is so much anger, resentment and meanness. Yet they feel justified to preach. If you had to be stranded on a lifeboat, you might be safer with a bunch of Hell's Angels. flipper

One of the graphics in the video read: "Do you ever stand in awe of the tiniest things and how perfectly they work together?

Yes, I have stood in awe of the tiniest things, such as the Ebola virus. They're so tiny, and yet how perfectly they work together to turn a human being into a decaying mush of flesh before he dies in agony.

Like most self-righteous Fundies, Perry resorts to lies and evasions when confronted with questions that self-evidently blow away the foundations of their belief system. Let's see why Perry can't answer my question:

"Perry, if God said that it's fun to torture babies, and morally right to do so, and it was pleasing to him for you to do it, would you?"

If he answers No, then he's screwed with his God, since he'd be saying that he'd disobey God under the right circumstances. This shows the kind of lack of faith that the Bible describes Abraham had when God put him to the test by asking him to sacrifice Isaac on an altar. So Perry can't answer No.

If he answers Yes, then he's screwed up morally, since only someone totally without morals would assent to torturing babies for fun just because some authority tells him to do it. Perry can't admit to being screwed up morally -- after all, his morals come from God, not his inner self or society as a whole -- and so he can't answer Yes, either.

So Perry does exactly what all Fundies -- including and especially the JWs who we on this board know so well -- do when confronted with these sorts of questions. They run away from the problem, spew chaff to deflect the oncoming missiles, tell themselves everything is alright, and hope no one notices.

But people with sense do notice. Readers of this board know very well when JW apologists are evading difficult issues. The same readers spot the same sick symptoms in judgmental Fundies like Perry and Vinny.

    IM BACK.

There IS also EVIDENCE, logical PROOF that an Intelligent Designer is responsible for all features of life today. Complex, intelligent, purposeful systems that reflect the intellect of that designer himself. Court cases have gone to trial where all of the evidence is circumstantial. Today's technology allows even trace evidences and other signs to give very convincing testimony that a crime was committed. Juries have been thoroughly and unitedly and fully convinced to convict criminals based on such outside, circumstantial evidence exclusively.

Likewise there are numerous "evidences" that all life arrived due to the hand of a Master Designer. The complexity and uniformity, the order and structure, the harmony of system after system, feature after feature, from the smallest molecules to the incredible living breathing life forces surrounding us all, to the incredibly complex earth where so many systems are just perfectly balanced all working together to allow life to exist are evidences to me that somebody surely must be responsible.

The far more complex, far more powerful and awe inspiring universe with star after star, planet after planet solar system after solar system all beautifully organized, with inconceivable, unimaginable amounts of power and energy, give further testimony, in my mind, that these things did not just "happen" through some unguided series of accidents. Just some fortuitous combination of circumstances. A blind fluke of good fortune?

I have received IM comments regarding this thread from long time posters who do wish that there was more openess on this board toward belief in God.

I think you will find that gods with belief systems that don't require you to disavow the evidence around us about the origin of the world, and that are not represented by lying, Pharasitical, self-rightous blowhards, get significantly beter reception than you or your monkey.

You are not god, you do not represent god, and very few people are interested in your self-rightous humbug.

There certainly is vast reason to suspect God's existence.

For someone as informed about evolutionary biology as you are, you have to believe in god as you don't understand the thory well enough to realise how well it explains things, and lack the faith to believe that god may just have made the world differently and more magesticaly than the silly way a bronze-age goatherd imagined it.

Many millions claim as I do direct confirmation of his existence through revelation.

As they of for various other gods, which means either god is not the exlusive monster you depict him as but reveals itself to people of many faiths, or that everyone making such claims is lying or delluded

Atheists say that there is no such thing as morality.

I'm an atheist and I don't say that, but this will be far from the first, or I fear last time I or others on this board have shown you to be, beyond doubt, discouring from an inappropriate orifice.

This bullshit is typical of the lies you have to speard about others to sustain your beliefs system, which is constructed soley to glorify it's belivers (within the sad compass they reside) , and has nothing to do with glorifying god.

But like the true coward you are you'll avoid answering this.

What sets Christianity apart from all other religions and world views, is that it answers this question. Neither do I want myself or ANY of my worst enemies to ever suffer what is due any of us for our moral crimes against each other.

Hang on a minute; so you've stopped believing in the doctrine of the elect? I'm pretty sure past posts will prove you did. Please clarify; have you changed your beliefs as a Christian regarding salvation since you first started what you probably see as your minstry here?

So much for Perry the organ grinder, Parrot Boy, master of cut and paste, holier than thou, thee... everybody. Now, where's Vinny, puppet the monkey-boy, validation of homind descent paths? I feel like spanking the monkey...

This is why I am here.

To SPANK THE LITTLE ATHEISTS and show people just how foolish such idiotic beliefs really are.

Is that so vinny? Well, I don't feel "spanked", and I don't feel that an atheistic point
of view is idiotic. Nor do I believe a theist viewpoint is idiotic either, and I would never
attempt to either deride a theist for being one, nor try to persuade them to see things
    from my own atheist viewpoint.

I have read through some of your posts, and you have presented nothing new, and
certainly nothing that would persuade me to believe in god again. Most of your posts
seem to be rehashes of previous posts, which rather reminds me of "new" watchtower
publications - same information, recycled and repackaged.

If the only reason that you are here is to try and show people like me how "idiotic" our
points of view are, then you may as well not bother. You are not succeeding

I am so sorry for you other folks standing in line for vinny, waiting to get your SPANKS over with. (I think Almost Atheist is next in line), but alan f wants one of his spanks FIRST.

A continuous stream of "FAT CHANCES" that all just fell right into place so that all of this LIFE could then arise from those soup-like, dead matter conditions where a polymer can turn into the human brain and beyond.

And with a STRAIGHT FACE, tell me that his earth is just another one of those freak accidents that just happens to be at the precise distance from the sun, orbiting at just the right speed of 66,000 miles per hour, rotating at just the correct speed to sustain life (24 hours), with just the right amount of tilt for refreshing seasonal changes and filled with so many perfectly balanced, harmonized ecological systems that are also the result of MANY more of these needed mere "accidents".

All things, from nothing, buy a lot of accidents and luck.

Every beginning has a cause. The features surrounding us have very specific purposes. It just makes the most sense for most people today, yesterday and probably forever to believe in Creationism.

The problem was that hilary struck out even worse than you did. He could not dismantle a puzzle, if his reply is any indication.

I buried Hilary badly. But hilary had no answers.

But I will see you and hilary again when your turn comes up.

Don't worry dead poet, I think you are in line a few times. I will get to you in detail when your turn comes every time.

I will try to be nicer to you, since you complain alot about vinny not being nice enough.

    On a more serious note:

I also am aware of your difficult situation and seriously do not want to add any more stress to you or your situation. I will ask you before how you feel about a reply to your posts. I am human and do have true empathy for your situation.

I hope things are all looking up and better for you both.

    Yes, I am serious.

I may be hard on atheists, but there are times when I put all that away too.

    Be well.

My best to you and Linda,

    vinny

PS- PM me and I will send you both a framed Hawaiian Print on me.

I forgot one thing for alan f:

If God asked me to do something that I thought was wrong, would I do it anyway? That was a part of your question I missed.

    My answer is YES.

He was called faithful by God Himself for putting his trust in God completely.

I would like to hope I would be like Abraham.

Now Alan F, from now on, let's stick to the subject of ATHEISTS AND HOW ALL THINGS COME FROM NOTHING, BY NOBODY.

    Okay?

You are still in line by the way.
