I'm suggesting suing the elders not the WTS.
Maybe you should sue God, He is the one with the hatchet over everybody's head. He breeds paranoia. That's why I don't blame the WT or any other paranoid religious organization. The more people Willie "turns" against the org the more people that are going to die at Armageddon. That's how the elders look at it.
As a few others have pointed out Willie, now that you and your wife have come to the attention of the elders it really will be difficult to prevent them pursuing you further. Sorry man!

If you infringe upon these rights, I may take legal action.
I will consider any attempt to convince by speeches, talks or teaching; to coerce by implied or actual threat of judicial action; or to encourage by private counsel or suggestion to any of Jehovah's Witnesses to treat me differently from any other person, to be a serious violation of my civil rights and I may initiate any legal action, civil or criminal that I or my solicitor deem appropriate.
This includes any attempt to convince by speeches, talks or teaching; to coerce by implied or actual threat of judicial action; or to encourage by private counsel or suggestion to any of Jehovah's Witnesses to shun, ‘mark' or avoid me, cease or otherwise modify their doing business with me, or modify in any way their behaviour towards me. This sounds very impressive "on paper", but we know that the WBTS views disfellowshipping and subsequent shunning as scriptural, and part of their "worship and obedience" to Jehovah.
I imagine this would be impossible to actually enforce, as great as it would be. (sigh)

Frankly I'm confused. I'm personally happy for badwillie and his wife. It's going to be hard, very hard. But Jesus man! You will be free!! Free to think, free to do what you want, free to talk about whatever you want.

The family is tough. I understand, but we are here. You are not alone. Look at the outpouring of love here on the forum. The requests for contact and email, etc.
Finally, they are making you a martyr whether you want to be one or not. You have been irreversabily injured in the congregation and family. They will never look at you the same again. USE this opportunity to FIGHT! Show them all what this crap is all about. One seed in one person. That's all it takes. One seed.

Sunspot - don't believe it cannot be done. Years and years of heavy Society emphasis on their being 'Jehovah's Organisation' still leaves many former members with an unwillingness to confront their former leaders [for want of a better word].
The thing is, as litigous as the WTB&TS are they do NOT win every case.
A notice to Cease and Desist may or may not work but it is certainly worth considering isn't it?
Xena. I created the letter a couple of years back and have it filed away for the time when it might be needed so no, I don't know of anyone who has used it.................yet!

I am in 2 minds over this. First of all I do sort of want to get on with my life now that I have come to terms with all that has happened.
I was indoctrinated starting at the age of 10, baptized at 17 (1984), and I am now 34 years old. I have a lot of living to do now that I am free. I also have a beautiful 1 year old boy now too.
But also, the "BadWillie" side of me really does want to SCREAM OUT my side of the story for the whole world to hear. In the last month, since I started discovering the real "truth" about the WTS, I have had to internalize so much anger. I have driven home from work many nights shouting curse words at the GB! But, I still am not sure how many people at the even the top level are acting in a devious manner. In fact, Ray Franz even says this in both his books. So, aren't most of the members of the WTS victims themselves? How bad is the corruption at the top? As I said, I really would like to expose this if I thought I could do it without bringing too much harn to my family.

Oh please, call the whhhaaaaaaaaaaambulance. No most are not victims of the WT. A lot like being a witness. Your only a victim if you let yourself be. You went to the elders when they wanted to meet with you. I won't meet with them because what I do is none of their business. I don't know why anybody feels sorry for you. Your the dumbass that went. But some must keep the whining going instead of having the fortitude to actually move on.
