Anyone that is a even a very small risk can not purchase health insurance. When I was 31 and unemployed, I tried to buy health insurance and was turned down, I had no health problems, my back injury was ten years old and I had no back problems.
I never said that everyone was insurable under the current model.
So no, I did not lie.

Burns citing percentages of Nobel Prize winners inferring that they are in the majority from the USA and his allusion that this rating is linked to the topic at hand, medicine, could be misleading since Nobel prizes are awarded for a few categories and we would have to break it all down to be able to see the real truths.
In 2008 the Nobel Prizes were awarded to :
Medicine - Hausen of Germany; Barre-Sinoussi of France; Mantagnier of France.
Peace - Ahtisaari of Finland
Physics - split between 2 winners in Japan and 1 in the USA
Literature - France
Chemistry and Economics - USA.

How is your vested interest helped in any way by the insurance companies skimming billions off the top?
They are not skimming billions. They are earning profits for providing services.

What service Burn?
Burn, talk to the hand brother. You protest too loudly.
It's pretty simple: When sick people can go to a doctor, get what they need, then not have to file bankruptcy 10 minutes later because their insurance won't cover it, I'll be happy.
I don't need to argue this with you. It's about people dude, not capitalism. I am on the right side of this one. Because its about people.
Peace.
(or Pax)
Sammieswife, you have cherry picked a single year, And then gone on to include prizes that have little or nothing to do with Medicine.
My point stands.
Burn, talk to the hand brother. You protest too loudly.
No I do not. You whine and complain too much. It is only simple in your fevered mind.
As I said earlier:
Insults are the only things that get a response here. You post facts that challenge the case for socialization? You actually waste your time to write something well thought out and referenced? It gets ignored
Ignored. You get the hand, not the face.
That health care leds more often to bankruptcy is a result of high prices. That prices are high is attributable to a large degree on the points a have made previously.

One is kept in servitude by the inability to exceed beyond the boundaries of survival. When the cost of a service necessary to survive, equals or exceeds the income or ability of that individual to survive, then the person exists in servitude.
I go back to what I said - if you believe in the status quo - you are in fact for slavery. You believe in servitude. You have no wish to abolish inequality, something the civil rights groups in this country fought for.
The notion of freedom or that Americans are free, is an idealogical one and not an absolute. Turning the slaves loose and then hiring them a the lowest wage possible, then charging them the full amount of that same wage in order to receive basic healthcare, food and lodging, simply means that you by choice, enslave them again. The idealogical notion that all people in the USA have the ability or capability to earn a substantially higher income is illogical since humans themselves are not all capable of doing so. A wage that is not capable of providing a standard of living sufficient to provide for the basics of life which now included healthcare insurance/costs ensures that the majority will continue to exist in a world without real freedom and independence for which they may strive but never achieve.
sammieswife.
Lol. Burn, you suffer from the same problem everyone who is against universal (oops, I meant public option) healthcare has: You take yourself far too seriously.
Trust me, you are wrong. Wait, you probably won't trust me. Doesn't matter.
My fevered mind is going to bed. Your chillin mind with your mad rappin riffs on the evils of universal health care will surely keep spinning out those top 10 hits I have come to expect.
Nighty night.
Goodnight Jeff. I hope you are able to sleep after soiling yourself publicly with an utter lack of a rational argument.
