so when the watchtower gets it wrong, as in all the many many blunders, did the angels direct the watchtower in the wrong path?
No, the angels do not actively mislead Jehovah's people, but, the Scriptures do speak about God allowing an operation of error to go forth among his people. The reason for that is to allow a test of our love for the truth. You can get some idea how the process works by the way that apostates sieze upon various Watchtower errors as a pretext for their own defection. I gave an example of how God allows error to go unchecked for a period of time in the case of the apostles and their spreading false rumors about when Jesus was going to return.
As another example, Luke 9:45 says that the truth about Jesus' death was concealed from the apostles. Only after Jesus was resurrected did he use God's holy spirit to fully open up their minds to grasp the meaning of the Scriptures that foretold Messiah's death and resurrection. So, the point is, that the Scriptures are written by Jehovah God in such a cryptic manner that unless he opens a person's mind to their meaning that there is absolutely no way that they can be properly understood by ordinary means. There are many other prophecies that speak of God's means of sealing prophecies up until such time as he sees fit to unveil them to those whom he approves.
or do you follow them all blindly, as most have, until corrected? There is really only two choices. We can either blindly follow, or we can blindly NOT follow. In either case we are blind to the truth until such time as Jehovah fully reveals it to his faithful ones. Jesus said as much when he promised to send a helper who would eventually guide his disciples into all the truth. According to Paul, and numerous OT prophecies, the ultimate revelation of truth does not take place until Christ arrives. Then, as Paul said: "But then I shall know accurately even as I am accurately known." / You Know
