Luke 23:43
It appears to me that they ignore the words, while only looking at the punctuation.

Nope- NEVER ignore this either. Remember, the comma doesn't EXIST in Koine Greek; it is placed by opinion.
Luke 23:43- And He said to him, "Truly I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise."
God said man would DIE, return to the GROUND.
CHURCHianity (and most religions) teach he NEVER dies (immortal)- just changes form.
Who, Oh Who should I believe?????

My good friend, MadJW--I identified several on the FIRST page of this thread. You're not going to see any of these in the Kingdom Ministry's suggested presentations.
- Luke 21:8 : He said: “Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time has approached.’ Do not go after them. [In other words, Jesus said don't follow religious leaders who say The End is near.]
- Matthew 8:11 : But I tell YOU that many from eastern parts and western parts will come and recline at the table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. [so Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are in heaven?]
- Luke 10:7 : So stay in that house, eating and drinking the things they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not be transferring from house to house. [this verse explicitly states NOT to go house-to-house]

Thanks for making my point.

Olin,
Matthew 8:11 : But I tell YOU that many from eastern parts and western parts will come and recline at the table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. [so Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are in heaven?]
The WT simply symbolizes Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to Jehovah, Jesus and the 144,000. This takes the entire sting out of Jesus words doesn't it?? Here we have Jesus using some hard-hitting words- telling the religious leaders that gentiles will be with the patriarchs that they are claiming their favored position on, and telling them that they will not be there. Location aside, this account is clearly saying that the OT saints will be in the same place as those who are saved after Jesus rising.

Thanks for the WTS interpretation, Isaac. I assumed they would have to make something up, since Jesus' plain words directly contradict their theology.
So, let's review:
- Jesus says Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will be in heaven.
- The WTS clergy class says they won't.
Who does Mad JW believe? Jesus, or the WTS clergy class? Inquiring minds want to know!

Mad: He was talking about False Messiahs (many were CLAIMING to be such), He gave SIGNS concerning the Last Days, and the scriptures TELL us to keep it "close in mind". You're doing the Chubby Checker Twist!
- Matthew 8:11 : But I tell YOU that many from eastern parts and western parts will come and recline at the table with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. [so Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are in heaven?]
Mad: Very possible! However, subjects in the Kingdom will be those in the New Heavens and the New Earth.
- Luke 10:7 : So stay in that house, eating and drinking the things they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not be transferring from house to house. [this verse explicitly states NOT to go house-to-house]
Mad: Only in your mind. How did they GET to that 'house' FIRST place? Acts 8:4- Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. (Market Places, synagogues, on the street- and, yes, from door-to- door. ) Acts 20: 20- You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

Exodus 3:13-14 (New International Version)
13 Moses said to God, "Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' Then what shall I tell them?"
14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am . [a] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' "
Footnotes:- Exodus 3:14 Or I will be what I will be
