Well, IF according to ACTS they preached door-to-door ( 5:42) then they ALSO broke bread door-to-door (2:46).

Exactly PSAC, a confirmation of this is found in the Kingdom Interlinear which shows the IDENTICAL term translated door-to-door inch 5, while 'in private homes' in 2:46. lol

MadJW, I don't know...where did Paul find those men in Ephesus he is speaking to in Acts 20:20???

Go look back at ch 19:

    1
1 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and came (down) to Ephesus where he found some disciples.
    2
He said to them, "Did you receive the holy Spirit when you became believers?" They answered him, "We have never even heard that there is a holy Spirit."
    3
He said, "How were you baptized?" They replied, "With the baptism of John."
    4
Paul then said, "John baptized with a baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus."
    5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
    6
And when Paul laid (his) hands on them, the holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
    7
Altogether there were about twelve men.

Certainly sounds like a public place he found them in to me.

Here's another they seem to ignore:

...still waiting for an answer about:

Mad: How many 'parts' have you been taught he has????

According to Luke 12:4, at least 2, Body and Soul. So, if Jesus was an angel in heaven and was just a man on earth (as the JWs claim), what part of the angel came down?

I go for three myself, just as Paul says.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (New International Version)

23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Blessings,

    Stephen

Plankton- You still never addressed this one. Not only does the Watchtower ignore this one, they flat out deny it. Ofcourse this is the evidence that Jesus himself claimed to be God. John 8;58 confirms this fact.

John chap8:verse58 correctly translated has Jesus quoted 'before Abraham came to be, I AM' The Watchtower NWT changes the scripture to read 'before Abraham came into existence, I have been'

That is a change by the Watchtower to cover up Jesus's use of the 'I AM' title used by God in Exodus 3:14. In the Greek Septuagint the Watchtower interprets ego eimi as I am in Exodus 3 :14. In the gospel of John, the Watchtower interprets ego eimi as 'I am 'everytime except John 3;16.

Of course Jesus was claiming to be God. That's why the Jews with him wanted to stone him.

Ignoring, no, more like denying scripture, doncha think?

Heres a scripture that was actually in the Watchtower on Sunday.

1Cor 4:2-5.....verses 3-5 "Now to me it is a very trivial matter that I should be examine by you or by human tribunal. Even I do not examine myself. Vs 4, "For I am not conscious of anything against myself. Yet by this I am not proved righteous, but he that examines me is Jehovahh. Hence do not judge anything before the due time, until the Lord comes, who will bring both the secret things to light and make the counsels of the heart manifest, and then each one will have his praise from God."

How then is the disfellowshipping arrangement in place considering all things are to be judged by God?

This is a very interesting blog. It is quite informative and highly entertaining to boot. I would like to make a small request that after scripture is quoted, could we please point out why the JWs would ignore it.

    thanks,

Matthew 16:28 "Truely I say to you that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all untill first they see the Son of man coming in his Kingdom." If Jesus came in 1914 as they teach, the people Jesus said this to, died long before 1914.
