JWs are not supposed to go to the police or courts about their brothers. It is to be handled by the brothers
Which is why people go to the elders before they go to the police. They don't want to be accused of besmirching God's the WTS' name
Older kids, or adults- I'd have them stay at my house until THEY could make arrangements to leave, call the police, whatever.

Thank god I don't have your attitude. If one of my daughter's friends were to trust me and tell me that someone was touching them inappropriately my first inclination would not be to call them a liar and throw them out the house. Yeeeesh my arse.
I just can't understand his way of thinking... It seems so heartless. But I guess it's the same thinking that cause the men in Brooklyn to develop such a policy. It really physically sickens me.

It should sicken you. What is wrong is that it doesn't sicken some people. Or they have to numb themselves to it so they don't see the pain in the eyes of the vicitms
