God's gonna wait for us all to forget about the Bible and then...

    BAM!

The ol' fork in the eye!

Reading the letters of Paul, I think that he expected Christ to return in his day too. I think that's the point. We should be in expectation of it whether it happens now or 1000 years in the future. If it happens 1000 years in the future, the Bible still promises a reward for those that die while waiting.

The problem is focusing on it. I don't think it's something that we should be worried about all the time. That's where the WTS is in trouble. That's ALL they think about.

Of course he *could* nevermind it's been 2000 years...
The caller in your anaolgy has a SET TIME FRAME for when he will arrive... you can't tell me it's the same thing as Christ's Coming?

Jesus of Nazareth also has a SET TIME FRAME - any day.

For those who have died while awaiting His return, 2000 years will mean nothing.

After you awaken from sleep, are you aware immediately of how much time has passed?

WE only wait OUR lifetime, nothing more.

Good and evil are term we use to put a "name" of those that do right (by us) or wrong ( by us).

They are still valid and they are "our" constructs yes and it is true that at times there is a gray line in what we can view as good and evil, but, that said, most if us don't view that gray area that much when something worng is being done to us by another.

The whole point of those analogies were to NOT focus on the "end", but to go one, day-to-day, trying our best to be good through Christ.

Leo - thank you for that discussion on dualism. IMO [as alluded in my first post, but without eloquence] this is the basis of religious illiteracy at it's finest. Some Christians actually believe that they are the first major religion to post up such nonsense.
