What if she is depressed and feels like she can't work anymore? What if she thinks that she will be killed by God because she can't do enough for the society? This is a possibility...hence the reason I havent taken any action yet.

What if she really is injured and you just don't know it? She's Not. I DO know this

Maybe she actually NEEDS the support of the system for a reason that you have NO IDEA about!!!!!!!!!!! Uhhhh, I dont think I deserved the trillion exclamation marks. My reason for judging is the fact that I've heard many statements from the husband before they started shunning my family. They believe Field Service is the most important thing, and they are taking advantage of the system.

Yes, its legal. But I still believe its unethical. I'm just going to let karma work its magic.

Sorry for the "trillion" exclamation marks! :-)

I was just thinking about things. My dad worked for the governement in the welfare system and he saw all the abuse that goes on. So I know that it is rampant.

I was just playing devil's advocate and giving this unknown person the benefit of the doubt.

I would probably turn them in but I wouldn't do it until I had gotten the chance to make a huge uncomfortable stink about the whole thing. You know, maybe write everyone in the family and cong. an anonymous letter stating what they're perpetrating.

Also, I really don't buy into the "Please think of the children" bit. I don't think that shaming/forcing the parents to provide for their children is harmful.

So, is the point of this whole thing the fact that they're shunning your family and you're looking for a way to get back at them? Just wondering.

Mrs. J, that doesn't dilute the fact that they've got it coming if it is the way Snap says it is. Sometimes you're lucky enough to get a little satisfaction by chance.

Sounds like tit for tat and a tad bit juvenile. But that's my humble opinion. Maybe I'm too far out from hallish attitudes.

No one in America can get food stamps forever. There are checks and balances to the whole process. If the husband is not working and he's fully able to work believe you me he's on a timeline to find a job or the whole family will lose whatever benefits the county has granted them.

So, let them continue not to work...it will work itself out.

Mrs Jones, yes, I am annoyed and bitter that I am being shunned. And yes, it helps me want to tell on them. I am trying to put that aspect aside. This is why I am taking time to think about it and get opinions. I am not making any rash decisions. I do not know what WIC is, and I am not sure if they are on/with that.
