Wow Sab! The irony in calling you a narcissist! How sad. At least you give them the respect of not talking about your view with them. Keep up the good work on your videos.

    Hi hint

I am a true christian who are called Jehovah's witnesses at this time.

My reply: Says who, except you? JWs would not even consider you one, as a freequenter of apostate sites.

At no point since Jesus came have we ever said that salvation can be gained other than being a follower of Jehovah through his son Jesus and becoming a true christian in the partern of the Early century christians before the delusion happenned. Recognition that we are one flock under Jesus God's son

My reply: But you teach that one can only serve Jehovah thru Jesus by following what the GB says.

That is a bible and christian absolute. Witnesses are certainly not unique in this respect. There isn't one religion that doesn't say the same. but there can only be one truth! and IMO Jehovah's witneesses have it in accordance with God's word.

My reply: As a brainwashed person afflicted with blindness toward that cult, that is all you can see. No surprise there.

    Hi sab

your human right to be an activist in your parents home against their chosen faith? I think your parents are being more honest than you. while you are being an activist against witnesses as a chosen life goal surely intimately living with two representatives of what you now hate would only make them a target for your activism?

How could you resist hurting them with your active stance?

back to topic Sab..interesting how it is always the one leaving and speaking up who is the one not caring. Strange how the person leaving- regardless of why- is ALWAYS the one at fault.

Offering your religion as the true faith as apposed to false ones is simply what Jesus did denouncing the Jews and false gods of other faiths but his main thrust has always been presenting the the Kingdom message which is our main thrust too.
This is a lot different from making your whole goal the destruction one particular religion alone. When showing our religion is the true one we stick to our adherance to God's word the bible and it's teachings. We will leave the destruction of false religion to Jehovah he doesn't need our help.

First of all, I think you mean "opposed" with an O instead of an A.

This is your perspective, Debator, and you're entitled to it. Most members of this forum obviously have a very different perspective: we think the JW religion has the capacity to be destructive. (And you should be able to admit if it's not "The Truth" it claims to be, then it IS destructive.) Many of us have experienced it personally.

Surely you would agree that if a Mormon family split over doctrine and the exMormon mate was devastated by it, he/she would be well within rights to oppose or speak out against the LDS church, no? People start awareness causes for all types of disease, suffering, and oppression. This is a call to awareness.

If someone "destroyed" the JW religion today, there are tens of thousands of other wrong religions that will welcome the naive tomorrow. I'd like to see everyone learn critical thinking, which gets to the root of the problem, and non-violently. But that's wishful thinking.

but there can only be one truth! and IMO Jehovah's witneesses have it in accordance with God's word.

So you claim JW's have absolute truth? (You just said they have the 'one truth'.) That is trivial to disprove.

In 1980, had you refused to accept the idea that the "generation" started in 1914, and those people would be alive to see 'the end' - you would have been disfellowshiped.

Yet we know now that that teaching was false. It was not Truth. The time came and went, and their interpretation of scripture was wrong. It was a false understanding, a false teaching.

Yet "Jehovah's people" would have disfellowshipped you - for not believing a false teaching (they would call it something else, but that's the net effect.)

Now go on - re-define 'one truth' to include "multiple truths" spanning multiple generations. That's what you are doing in your head right now.

EDIT: I removed 'be a good little JW' - that was condensending, and wrong. It is the Watchtower I oppose, not it's people. My appologies.

    Hi sweetbaby

I think we have to recognise that our spiritual choices are grave life-changing ones. Religion isn't a hobby and apposing it isn't either. Jesus was right when he said the following.

    Luke 12:53
They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

It is a sad reality of this time.

Wow! Sound like the words of a narcissist to me.
