    Luke 12:53
They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

This verse speaks of non-believing family being against believers in Christ. The division is over Christ. I can not think of one single instance that a JW has been persecuted by anyone, let alone a family member in the name of Christ. I can think of countless examples of a nonJW (or a exiting or questioning JW) being turned on by their JW family for questioning the WT. I can also think of cases of the JW family turning on one for their beleifs in Jesus.

your human right to be an activist in your parents home against their chosen faith?

I don't live in my parents home, I am 26, married and have a son...

Sab, you cannot be a narcissist, that would mean you are all about you. You are, in fact, all about information and truth.

Offering your religion as the true faith as apposed to false ones is simply what Jesus did denouncing the Jews and false gods of other faiths

Jesus did not denounce "the Jews."

How can you be so ignorant?

How could anyone be so ignorant?

That's what I thought, thanks. You're not being disrespectful at all - in fact, I watched the video you put up here. It was not disrespectful in the least, just in disagreement.

I am motivated by my love for people. I have read too many stories all to similar to my own and I will not be silent when speaking out can help other through the devistating transition out of the Org (brodan being the most current example).

Utilitarian government (whether a religion or a sovereign state) can only be repremanded by the PEOPLE. We HAVE to speak out if we have any chance of stopping the abuse of the WT entity.

Indeed. I REALLY try not to be abrasive. But I guess that doesn't matter if your content is "unacceptable."

I think we have to recognise that our spiritual choices are grave life-changing ones. Religion isn't a hobby and apposing it isn't either.

Debator, what makes you think we consider this a hobby? We're on this board to support and be supported, among other things. There are boards for cancer support groups. Is fighting cancer a hobby?

At any rate, that verse you cite can just as well be used by any controlling religion that claims to suscribe to a literalist view. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mormons used it as well. Which reminds me, you didn't answer my question... presumably because the parallel is too close to home:

Surely you would agree that if a Mormon family split over doctrine and the exMormon mate was devastated by it, he/she would be well within rights to oppose or speak out against the LDS church, no?

Yes... but doing so presumes that those two people now hate each other.

If they were trying to reconcile, then it would expected she wouldn't go about attacking LDS, no?
