If God exists and ordered a Purge how would you react?

but this time it will be the last time he purges humankind because of the ransom of Jesus.

Except for when it happens again after the millenium, they must mean.

We became corrupted and God felt the need for a total Purge.

Regardless of what you believe, even in the flood account, God felt regret and promised, never again.

The question, though, I find is moot. I do not have a higher morality than God. (perhaps man's changing definitions of God) God is not just going to kill people. Perhaps he will have no choice but to destroy people, however, who are intent on hurting and destroying others - innocents, for instance?

See Seb, that's what I'm talking about. You're a thinker, clearly, the rest are not.

    They'll probably get their wish....

(Don't mean to offend anyone, just calling it like I see it)

No more global floods that's all he promised. He tried to go back on his word with the Israelites until Moses set him straight. The guy is trigger happy.

I do not have a higher morality than God.

    That's an assumption.

The question might be moot from an omniscient perspective. It's not moot to us because so many of us believe that God is a killer. That in itself gives the question serious merrit.

Corection Sab. God did not go back on any agreement, it was the Israelites that messed up the deal.

Besides, the only guy that I know of that got away with literally arguing with God, was Moses at the Burning Bush. Man, what a conversation that must have been...

I don't want to live with a psycho ruler up in the sky who decides that *now* is the time to *purge* and just wipe out people.

That said, if he decides I get to live, will he let me pick who I want to purge? There are some people still alive I really, really don't like.

And I wouldn't bother asking why he spared me. I'd know why.

Look, it's His gig. You either agree with it or you don't.

I would argue that he gave his gig to us. History provides strong evidence that we have the reins, no?

Regarding Moses and the Burning Bush--don't you think maybe, just maybe, Moses was smoking something and it was dry season and POOF! There went the bush and he had to come up with a story. The man did seem full of himself. Just sayin'.

If I remember correctly he didn't put any clause on his promise to Abraham and his decendents. Can you find in the Bible where God told Abraham that if his people messed up their asses were grass and the promise was void?
