^Here we go. That's what this thread needs....more conspiracy theories.

    I tell you...people love them.

If I were to apply a form of intelligence to this universe it would more along the lines of an experiment.

I would love to know what exactly were you looking for because it's impossible to prove or disprove the existence of God

It isn't that difficult to prove the existance of something or someone. The hard part is disproving him (which is logically impossible, as I'm sure you are aware). My research mainly focused on evolution and the history of the bible, as well as a lot of research into paganism (though that was more related to my girlfriend's religion than my search for God).

That statement was so straightfoward I didn't think it needed any further explanation, but to answer your question if you put human beings on any other planet in the entire universe the climate would be either too hot or too cold to support life. Of course you could used circular reasoning and say life would evovle to meet the conditions of any planet in the universe, but the fact that there are no traces of life on any other planet suggest otherwise.

What you're talking about is a numbers game. If there are roughly 100 billion billion planets in the universe (I got that number here , but the source is unimportant for this thought experiment), and the probability of any planet being habitable is 1 in 10 billion, then there are 10 billion habitable planets in the universe, any of which could have developed life. And any intelligent life would look at the world and say "wow... this is perfect and seems to be made for me, therefore there must be a creator". Hence you cannot use that as an argument for creation. In fact, I seem to remember reading something when I was younger about mars being able to support life if it was just a hair closer to the sun. Also, the above numbers explain why we haven't detected alien life. If only one in 10 billion planets supported life (true, I pulled this number out of thin air... It is only an example because I don't know, and I think no one knows, the exact probabilities) then the chances we would find it in the nearest hundred or thousand planets would be very unlikely. Even projects like SETI had very little chance of success because the majority of life in the universe would probably NOT have evolved like we did technologically, or at least have not yet from our frame of reference (given the time signals would take to reach us) Now... What I just said above is pure speculation. Right now that falls out of the spectrum of what we know. I would suggest, however, that you at least read the sites we linked you to, as they refer specifically to the information you requested about evolution: http://evolution.berkeley.edu/

EDIT: Slowly ninja'd... That's what I get for taking forever to post. LoL

And for that very reason nothing you said is worth responding to. Still no one has posted any type of facts that supports the evolution theory. All I'm seeing is more theories, assumptions, and speculation.

The earth may be old, the earth may be young but datting rocks is quasi science, it does not follow the scientific

    method.

The only evidence we have as to the age of the earth is recorded history, beyond that we havent a clue.

Tell me your just joking . . . . please.

Shall we call this selective vision? We have provided links with information for you. No one's going to hold your hand and walk you through it. Read it and see if it makes sense. Did you notice on Berkeley's website the article about the Atlantic tomcod's evolved resistance to PCBs in the Hudson River or the link that says "What is the evidence for evolution?" It makes no real difference to any of us if you believe evolution is true or not. Evolution won't send you to hell for not believing in it. If it makes sense to you fine, and if it doesn't, fine; just don't ever try to teach biology to my kid, that's all I ask.

So you've done all the research on limestone? . . . boy that was quick . . . It took me a full semester.

Quite obviously . . . "All you're seeing" is "all you want to see" . . . you have a closed (or controlled) mind.

There is a financial reward in finding fossil fuels. Finding fossil fuels is one thing, thats the reward. It doesnt matter how old the finder thinks the stones the fossil fuels are in. Its the ability that finds the fuel that is rewarded not the age of the stones. - Jaguarbass

You could not be more wrong. Finding oil depends precisley on understanding the geological column and an ability to precisely date each layer. Did you just make up all that stuff you wrote about geology and dating of rocks being pseudo-science just to annoy people who have actually taken the time to read proper science? You are entitled to your opinions but not your own facts.

Radiometric dating is fantasticaly successful science. All those different clocks moving at different rates and yet multiple tests on rocks provide the same answers.

If you are sincerely interested in understanding the evidence for evolution why not go and do some of the work yourself? Some of it is quite difficult but that's scientists for you, they do hard stuff and understandably have contempt for people who know nothing but delight in criticising their work anyway.

    I suggest,

"The making of the fittest" by Sean B Carroll

"Evolution, what the fossils say" by Donald Prothero

"Why Evolution is true" by Jerry Coyne

"Your Inner Fish" by Neil Shubin

"The Greatest Show on Earth" by Dawkins (summary of some of it here)

    "Life Ascending" by Nick Lane

Why not order these from your local library and commit a year or two to studying them. Then come back and tell us your embarassed by this thread.
