I think it's important to distinguish between factual observations and ideology.

If I present a one hundred dollar bill to a cashier and the iodine indicater pen leaves a harsh black line on the bill, that is a factual observation.

It doesn't matter if the cashier agrees with me politically or not. It doesn't matter if the cashier hates my ethnic group or not. It doesn't matter if the cashier likes me or not. It doesn't matter if the cashier is a neo-nazi wack-job or not.

Saying, "You just don't like me because I'm a Jew" won't make that black line go away. A fact is a fact is a fact and needs to be answered as such.

What you're effectively saying is:

JW's regard Apostates as Nut Jobs that shouldn't be listened to, but I know them to be truthful.

Some people regard Birthers as Nut jobs that shouldn't be listened to, but since people believed Apostates to be nut jobs,when I know them to be truthful, Birthers must also be truthful.

Seriously, you act like researchers found everything about Obama in one fell swoop? The Obama SS# issue has surfaced only recently- Don't discount the power of circumstantial evidence-

We have had deniers of the Apollo moon landings holding out for absolute proof of a human moon landing- and finally it has happened, 40 years later, in 2009, an orbiting lunar satellite photographed the Apollo 11 LRO on the Moon -

What did the moon landing deniers say- Oh that picture has been photoshopped- it's fake.

Assuming for the moment that the pictures of the typefaces is real - what do your own eyes tell you? Do the letters match? Yes or No? This is just an exercise in visual acuity, the next step is what you do with that observation.

Here is what I meant by being disingenious, not on your part of course, but in the entire discourse of the birther movement.

So you have one link from ABC in which the 'e' is skewed:

Now, here is my problem. Instead of realizing that the ABC version of the PDF isn't even the same PDF ON THE WHITE HOUSE'S PAGE, a birther will willfully use the first PDF, spread it around and say that the 'e' means the document is a forgery and Obama is misleading us, even though:

We don't know what a skewed 'e' actually means in the first place.
There is a non-skewed 'e' PDF available on the white house page (again, i still don't know what the 'e' proves, but i'll run with it)
The Hawaii Health Department has released Two legal forms of the birth certificate
All credible evidence points to a Barack Obama being born in Hawaii.

And that, in a nutshell, is why I don't believe anything coming out of the Birther Camp.

Dune, forensic document experts want to examine the actual long form document- not a PDF- we shall see if the power of a supoena will yet prevail.

The letter analysis is based on the Whitehouse pdf.
