As an atheist, I find theists wanting to kill people disturbing. A few examples out of many, BTS.

On the other hand, he could reveal himself in five minutes for all I know.

There is no evidence to support this.

Have you ever had a violent thought that you didn't verbalize? Your examples could merely be people who are verbalizing theirs showing lack of restraint rather than the danger of believing in God.

Yes it is disturbing, but I could produce many examples of actual violence as well, EntirelyPossible. When atheists have been in power, it hasn't usually worked out very well for believers.

However, when you stray into science and start making assertions about the universe and god that are unfounded, wrong and logically and internally inconsistent, then you start seeing the meat grinder of science and logic go to work. You have to use logic and fact to support your ideas that stray into the realm of science and fact.

"I believe large purple space elehphants exist." That statement didn't require any logic. It doesn't require backing it up either and it also doesn't require disproof for it to be false. I have to go to a meeting with a client, might not be back for a while.

Of course not. That's why I don't believe in God.

I fail to see the relavence. Plus, I kill things all the time. Well, every chance I get.

Or, as history proves, believers love killing the shit out of people that don't agree with their particular version of god.

Both are disturbing, when believers threaten violence and commit it, like dragging people to death behind a car just because they are gay and god hates fags.

Exactly, it's a belief, not a hypothesis. You aren't straying into science with that. You ARE learning something.

    Good luck.

It seems you have a specific pair of spectacles, imo.

The definition of belief fits well within the observation stage of the scientific method. I have made many hypothesis because of strong beliefs that wont go away and I am in the midst of testing those. Unfortunately the full means of testing is attached to one's monetary surplus.
