I encourage all to re-listen to the speaker on that TED program.
Its quite obvious his intentions were to demean and lay waste to non-religious beliefs as a sort avenue of moral social decadence.
Its obvious he's a religious apologetic, most likely sourced from a Christian perspective.
Notice how he fast talks from one subject to the next , never elaborating or giving evidential proof to his statements.
Quite frankly I thought the speech in its entirety was baseless unsubstantiated bullshit.
He was quite proficient in showing the outward beauty and remdeemimg social values presented by religions
but neglected completely to mention the backward social oppression and other mitigating problems conected with organized religions.
