I wish I had videotaped my meeting with the elders where they took me to task for having an outdoor concert at my place in the country; no alcohol, the event was invite only, witnesses only, we checked everyone in, we looked over the music selection. We'd had this event 4 times before; elders had attended.
They told me I was going against the slave; I asked them how that was so, when I had done all the necessary things.
They said it was a large gathering, that someone could wander onto my property and commit murder (I know, right?).
I replied that 2 weeks prior, half of our hall and all of a nearby hall went to a county fair where an elder was playing in an old rock group of his from the 60's; all worldly, booze, cigarettes, worldly people.
I asked which one of those events they would want their children to go to; no answer.
They said I had no chaperones; I said I had a dozen adults witnesses to chaperone. They said I had no elders or MS's there; I said, well, no not after you have put the word out that this is a LARGE GATHERING and no one in the hall has any business coming.
I asked the COBE if he would come and chaperone; he said it was not his kind of music.
I had the event anyway, f**k em.
No incidents, no issues, no cops; lots of appreciation from parents and teenagers that they could go to a place to hear music with no smoke or worry over drugs.
Really, what is wrong with elders anyway? I get it that they have to tow the line to a certain extent, but them coming after me about this was beyond the pale.

This was a very good expose' video exposing the JW's for how bat-shit crazy they really are. The more normal people that see this Watchtower stuff on YouTube, the more cracks that will appear before the Watchtower's fall.
I've had my share of these ridiculous conscience debates with extreme elders.
