The world has far too many conspiracy theorists ...

What conspiracy? The OP lied (or quoted a liar). End of story.

but at least he should have gone with a more accurate methodology

The second ('Jehovah') chart I produced gave the same results as in the OP. There was no different 'methodology'. The figures for the 'Jesus' chart in the OP were just wrong.

My point exactly. The graphics were used to support a conspiracy theory [ = the WT is the antichrist]

Ah yes... the... antichrist... (sigh)... that's a few delusions past 'conspiracy theory' if you ask me...

Jeffro, let me maky my point clear about what I meant by "methodology":

Let's assume this is an article of the Watchtower:

"Jehovah xxxx xxxx Jehovah xxx xxxxx Jesus xxxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx Jehovah xxxxxxx xxx xxx xxx Jesus Christ xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx Jehovah xxxxxx xxxx xxxxx xxxx Jesus xxx xxxxxx xxx xxxxx Jesus Christ xxx xxxx xxxx Jehovah xxxxx xxxxx Christ xxxx xxxxx Jehovah xxx xxx Jesus Christ xxx Jehovah"

There's no question how many times "Jehovah" is mentioned: 7

How many mentions of "Jesus"? 5

How many mentions of Christ? 4

Apparently Jesus Christ is winning 9 to 7, right?

But in reallity, how many times is the persona of Jesus mentioned? 9? (5 + 4) No! He is mentioned only 6 times. How do you know?

    Because (5 "Christ" + 4 "Jesus") - (3 "Jesus Christ") = 6

This makes Jehovah win 7 to 6 in reallity.

But again ... this is trivia, and I got wayy too much time on my hands today

Hmmm... thanks for Boolean Search Operations 101. Sigh. As there was no count of any words other than Jesus and Jehovah, introducing 'Christ' is not particularly relevant.

The OP lied. That is all. Doesn't matter how anyone spins the 'methodology'.

Um... no. Your graph for Jesus was entirely wrong for all years beyond the 1960s. Such a discrepancy does not exist on the 2011 Watchtower Library CD, and nor would it yield incomplete results for the year 2011.

Well, I know they're singin' about Jesus or Christ less because I counted 'em in the new(er) songbook.

the continuing deemphasis on Jesus may be related to the continuing fade away of the 1914 invisible presence idea. It's been almost a hundred years and whup-de-do.

Christ may be invisibly present but he's still less present in Watchtower-land.

So, if a Christian hears "Jesus" or "Christ", it has a totally different import than if he hears "Jesus Christ"?

I spent my entire life as a Christian and never got bogged down in such minutiae. If someone mentioned Jesus, Christ, Christ Jesus or Jesus Christ, I knew who they were talking about.

    Jesus Christ!

Is that what it is? English isn't my native language. To me it's simply algebra. And I come from a background in Social Sciences. Numbers aren't my strenght, really. I apologize, didn't mean to lecture you.
