This particular case shows what happens when you have people who are mentally unstable and at the same

time fabricated their mind and consciousness into ancient theological practices, such beheading unbelievers.

    .

I find it astonishing and bit shocking that people are trying to emulate the social moral standards of a civilization

that existed in human history 1500 years ago, sourced from a book that was written 1500 years ago by that civilization.

Aren't the fucked up JWS doing something similar ?

" The writers of the document cannot be blamed for other people's failures to follow its ideals."

They can be blamed for their failure to follow its ideals.

Hey guys lets get this free country going where everyone is free!!!

Except those damn Natives and women and blacks and chinamen

Here is what this boils down to for me. Shit happened in the past, and I wasn't involved with those decisions. I am an American and I make no apologies for who I am. I will never be made to feel guilty, for errors that past generations may have commited, which is very Yahweh JW style thinking. Had America never existed, the world would be much worse off.

America is a great country that has done more for the world, than the world has ever done for itself. Just look at all these backwater countries that refuse to even provide food or clean water for their people, it's dispicable, totally preventable and inexcusable. America is and has historically been one of the most generous nations when it comes to charity and disaster relief, and offering help. Think of all the times the US has had to come to the aid of Europe, Africa, and a host of other countries both militarily and economically. The fact is America really is better, because it was founded on superior principals which allowed advancement and progress to flourish. This is why people want to come here and stay here, and If you can't grasp this truth then I pity you.

Why hasn't the UN come out and denounced this violent Islamic fanaticism?

President Obama recently gave a speech at the UN against it, but where is the backing and global denouncement by the UN as a whole?

Is the UN contributing to the fight against ISIS at all?

(ps - but wouldn't JW's just love that though? They would see it as the start of the UN turning against religion).

I wouldn't be surprised. I really wish America give the UN the boot. They are a waste of space, and don't actually do anything useful on the world scene, I have no respect for that corrupt anti America organization.

No one told you to feel guilty. However you could recognize that every nation that you mentioned that is so poor and so feeble that you had to help is because of what America and France and Britian did to them during colonialism. They raped these countries of there resources and killed people for no reason. THe put despotic rulers in place and then turn around and wonder why in time coutries that were once allies are now enemies. Even Cameron admits to this fact but you cant.

Your most laughable statement thus far has been, "Had America never existed, the world would be much worse off."

How would you know? Do you have a crystal ball. Get over yourself.

I don't think anyone on this board with half a brain could agree with that statement

The US may be corrupt and may have made some bad decisions as far as foreign policy goes, BUT... Radical religious nuts like ISIS would be killing people no matter what. People murder other people, end of story.

If you don't want to die, then you may have to kill your assailant. Thats reality folks. Kill or be killed when the time comes. Anything else is pure fantasy. I'm surprised our atheist friends dont realize this. Nature, red in tooth and claw...

Ideas of freedom always proceed the actual freedoms themselves. To rail against proponents of the ideas for not bringing about instant change in all aspects seems to be a little resentful.

You obviously have a beef with history ... there is no way to win that one though as it cannot be changed.

"Had America never existed, the world would be much worse off. How the fuck would you know? "

Oh lemme see...for instance, had America not been there, there is a good chance that the world would be ruled by Hitler's third reich. Or Russian style communism, where anyone who spoke their mind would surely die in some Stalin style gulag. Would you have preferred that kind of a world?
