Yes Simon the things mentioned are happening right now. The point I am making is that ou find it so easy to make a broad sweeping statement about the evil people doing bad things as if they are so unique in their actions when in actuality the same wicked things are being done by many different groups currently.

There are Christian groups doing the same thing. THere are military groups and organizations and nations doing the same thing.

I said I don't believe these people are all the same at all and it would be easier if everyone wasn't using the same label. I am all for people making a clear distinction between themselves.

That would be unfair because that is a race and people can't change that for good or bad. Nationality is a close second on the list of "hard to change" which is why people don't tend to group things at that level ... other than religious extremists of course.
People could of course be critical of Zionist expansionists which some Jewish people chose to be part of but that is a different discussion for another day.

There was no hate speech or advocating the killing of all Muslims. The only thing said was hating the beading actions of people by Muslim extremists who belong to the religion of Islam which openig states it's hatred of Western society. Some people even tried to use the KKK atrocities years ago as an example, while hating on the KKK, which now they are trying to accuse you of hating on Muslims.
I was listening to a podcast yesterday, and they said even if ISIS gets taken down a few pegs there are literally dozens of radical islamic groups that will take their place throughout that region. It's a quagmire . But you know, this thread is not really about ISIS is it? It's about how someone in America became radicalized by Islam, and chopped of his co-workers head.
This isn't about people. It's about ideologies and what they enable, encourage and teach. The fruit of ideologies is seen in the behaviour of its adherents. We don't reject Nazism because every German member of the Nazi party threw people in ovens or would condone excess but because it enabled some to do it while robbing the main subscribers of the ideology the tools, means and mental impetus to disagree.
In Islam we find 50% of the society (women) socially disempowered , we find life devalued (honour killing, religious war, death for apostasy etc.) , we see barbaric punishment focused on pain and submission ( chopping of hands, stoning, beheading) and we find a core cultural and religious text written to define a tribe during a time of iron age warfare that is immune to change or internal criticism. We don't need to destroy Muslims we need to destroy Islam - why? - because it is unable to progress (its central myth is that it is the direct word of god) or accommodate any other ideology (destruction of 'others' by violence, death and conquest is condoned). This is not JWs destroying families (internally self destructive beliefs) this is a religion focused on destroying everyone else.
We don't need to take Islam seriously and use all the tools of western secular civilisation against it to pick on the lovely Muslim family next door we need to do it to protect everything that our society has learnt from our own bloody experience of medieval Christianity. Accommodating Islam is to let the cuckoo lay eggs in the nest.

What are American values exactly? Can you point me to the official American values and who made them official? Not just the things that people say are American values but really have no basis for stating.
According to the U.S. government I am an American citizen with the prefix of African. SO I guess that makes me an African American.
