Should I attend Kingdom Hall meetings to discreetly "preach"?

Don't waste your time. They are all brainwashed drones. Most Elders are Legends in their own minds. They will just peg you as a troublemaker and discard you.

If you walk up to a person and tell them their mother is a whore, would you expect them to be happy and to thank you?

Well, telling the 'truth about the truth' is exactly that. It is brutal!

It is not an act of kindness. . . UNLESS. . . the person you talk to is readyfor it.

If they've been noticing something strange going on with their Mother and can't quite put their finger on what it is. . .

at a certain point, THEY ARE READY for the 'truth.'

    But, not until then.

The ORGANIZATION is their mother--or so the GB has said.

You don't talk about a person's mother casually or drop rumors or innuendos and expect a positive response.

    Please remember that!

LOYALTY is the first line of defense.

    Righteous anger will soon follow.

Denial is the order of the day.

You see, none of this is actually about Bible verses being interpreted wrong or right. No.

This is about NEED. Human NEED to be told what to do is at work.

If you remove a person's compass, map and tear down their safety net--you damned well better be ready

to REPLACE it with something equal to it.

    YOU CAN'T!

That is right. You can't replace what religion and belief and faith and loyalty offer.

Leaving all that behind is a long journey of self-searching, depression, anxiety and harsh reality intruding on every day.

This kind of preparation is done INSIDE the individual THROUGH THE AGONY of self-examination.

The only thing you or me or anybody else can do is SPOT THE MOMENT of breakthrough and be ready to toss a life vest.

    Reality is a harsh mistress.

    Hi,

They know about Jesus...they even claim to imitate him....but they haven't grasped the power of Jesus...that Jehovah changed the rules a bit...Believe in him....& now, believe in his son Jesus Christ...that's why they/me go out in service. They feel that since they imitate him, that's enough...but they do believe he died for sins....the problem is that they don't have the love Jesus had for people, that aspect has eluded them. Their love is conditional...although at the meetings we say, Jehovah & Jesus love unconditionally & they are not partial. They love God so much, they haven't any love for anyone else...the love of Jehovah doesn't overflow to people. They missed the point about Jesus...Love...it's just a word to them or a word written in our literature...but the more I talk to some of them...they had no love in their homes...just rules & regulations & obedience. They only love their children if they are as spiritual as they are. Again, they know the real Jesus, but what they don't get is the love...You can go to the hall if you want, but like many on here have said...it's a waste of time....

I go & eat the spiritual food I need & when they are off track, I spit it out....There aren't too many places of worship one can go that something isn't right...You can pick apart any religion...As long as Man is to interpret it....We are all in trouble..The Bible is the final word...& it's not difficult to understand...Didn't Jesus say to come to him like a child...& so that means even a child should be able to read the bible & understand it...Go to the hall & find out what they know...You know there is a book they have ...The Greatest Man who ever lived...all about Jesus...so again, it's not that they don't know about him but they feel it's their duty to make Jehovah's name known....

So many folks believe God & Jesus are one...well if you are into grammar you know who is who & you is talking, but you have to take your hat off the Jesus, he reflected his Father so well, the world believes they are the same...

I plan to go undercover and plant seeds into them.

If you pretend to be me, preaching about Jesus, you'll be spotted as an imposter immediately.

I would never preach about Jesus at a KH... or anywhere else for that matter...

Yes. By all means, replace one fundamentally flawed belief system with your own.

Just curious. Why do you imply having a belief in Jesus is flawed as well as the Witnesses' beliefs? I'm sorta in the middle between Atheism and Christianity. Haven't really decided which of the two is right.

I assume you meant for your username to be "CryptoJesus"?

Honestly, you'd probably be wasting your time.

Websites like JWFacts, JWSurvey, et.al., and message boards like this one do a far more effective job than trying to be some kind of agent provocateur.

There is one particular instance of a woman successfully "going undercover" at a KH, but it was to specifically get her daughter out. Once they were gone, she was done (although she did write a book about it).

This thread reminds me of something that happened at our book study when were still in and there were still book studies.

So as the hour was coming to a end the book study conductor asked brother so and so to close with prayer, I can still see the look of terror on the conductors wife's face as she was trying to get his attension, I guess this elder was use to ignoring his wife's whispers. The brother asked to say the prayer stands up and starts his prayer. Lord Jesus, Jesus Lord....... Yes, this was a bible study and the elder had no idea. I actually enjoyed the prayer but I sure thought the elders wife was going to have a heart attack!! When we got home our phone was ringing it was the elder apologizing and assuring us that wouldn't happen again.

The implication is that the entire bible is bogus, not just the JWs interpretation of it. What's also bogus is anyone's claims to "know the real Jesus".
