I always get similar reactions when I say things like this:

Russell himself said and I quote him:
" I am a Free Mason ".

I didn't just suck that out of my thumb. Russell said that. So if Russell himself said he was a Free Mason, then how can you deny it? I'm not looking for a fight, but if I would come out and say I am a Jehovah's Witness and someone in the future would say, but he really wasn't, it would seem paradoxial to me. Please explain.

The Watchtower is in the hands of the Masons, even though you might then say he's someone who believes in conspiracies.

Who knows maybe the ones defending the Masons here are part of the Great Conspiracy?

Perhaps you would like to share your source for that quote? Simply saying that he said it, is heresay, and not "admissable" .

I am not quoting him. I simply posted a link to this research which you can examine and determine for yourself what you believe. The one you pointed out does seem to have the most flaws. Another page on the same site mentions that some of the information presented in that publication is suspect. I question what the extent Russell's association was with the Freemasons. I think there is a connection. The fact that Russell was an adventist was confirmed by the WTS.
