    My learned friends,

G'day. Can you guys and gals see how this wheatloaf (Meatloaf ? ) character, with a few words only, has got everyone going? A wolf in sheep's clothing?

Don't forget the wheat will grow amongst the weeds!!

    Cheers,

    Ozzie

Actually "Catholic" does appear in New Testament once I believe, and it simply means Universal, the Universal Church.

Avengers, when you said, "The pyramid close to his grave has the Watchtower engraved in it," you are in error. Nowhere on the pyramid placed at the center of the "Bethel family plot" is there an engraved watchtower. There is, starting at the top, a once highly-polished capstone, beneath which on each of the four faces is the cross and crown and wreath symbol, beneath which is on one side, "I.S.B.A.," on another side, "DEAD IN CHRIST," on the third side, "WATCHTOWER BIBLE & TRACT SOCIETY" - as words, and on the fourth side "RISEN IN CHRIST." below that on each side is a "teacher's bible" in relief that is supposed to hold the names of those buried in the approximately 275 individual plots within the "Bethel family plot."

I agree completely with RR (who really is an authority on this subject) and others who have tried to put the fragment of Russell's speech into its original context. The first time I read what CTR actually said it was clear to me that he was speaking allegorically, just as JFK did in Berlin.

Did the WTS copy some cool Masonic imagery and use it for their own purposes? Yes, I think they may have, just as the WTS plagarizes and co-opts or assimilates some of today's art. It's hard to come up with original occult symbols today - all the really good ideas have been thunk up already.

A person using the swastika might be a Nazi, but he might be a Tibetan, or he could be a practitioner of Shorinji Kempo.

ROTF! Now you've gone and done it!

I was going to set back and wait to see how long it would take Avengers to discover that we are ALL Catholics....hehehehe

    I didn't start this crap.

The biggest Free Mason: Jesus Christ started this with his Free Mason Faithful Slave Russell

    What a laugh.

Ah, so now we get to the core of the matter. Your beef is not with Russell or the Watchtower, it's with Jesus .... sounds like a personal problem!

Excuse my ignorance here, but I know very little about the "masons" or "freemasonry".

Can someone please explain to me, why I should care if Russell was one? Or, how the potential ties to the FreeMasons makes the WTBS any better/worse than otherwise?

    Thanks!

Oh yes I'm sorry I left out the Adventists.

    Adventist, Free Mason, Faithful Slave.

Sounds like a Schizo to me.

Paranoia Schizophrenia causes you to think you are The Faithful Slave, or the chosen one, or whatever.

    I could be wrong ofcourse.
