Come on Prisca, this is as close to fluff as Farkel gets.

At least I know this post has nothing to do with me. I haven't been posting enough as of late to even be in with the fluffers. But.........if I had, I would stick with my fluffy pals because I love to laugh.
Hi Farkel,
Ain't democracy great?
Yes it is!
Be frank, what is it you want to say? What? You think that people here should be more like you and AlanF? Well, you are you and Alan is Alan. If everyone here were like you guys, you and Alan would be just the regular shit that goes around and comes around. But now you guys are different and you both reap the benefits of being different. You guys are "kings"! LOL Don't knock it man!
And don't knock the rest of the people here who provide the GREATS among the xjws with power!
Without the great crowd (pun intended) of people who post here you and the other "Alan"s: Ray Franz, HS, Maximus, etc., would be nothing.
Stop knocking your "engine"!

Hi Lilacs!
You have been missed, hope things are going o.k. out your way.
Sorry mate, but I don't have such illusions of grandeur that you evidently do. Nor am I as self-important as you are. I don't aspire to being some famous apostate. I just like being me. Maybe you should learn to like yourself for a change?
Words to remember.
I don't post much here (chat alot) but felt the need to say something about this one.
IMHO- one of the reasons you will see so much "fluff" coming from this group is that they are finally able to have fluff in their lives without someone reprimanding them for it. Think about it- especially those who were raised in this ridiculous religion- how often were you truly allowed to be anything other than very serious? Growing up, were you allowed to be silly on a daily basis? Were you encouraged to? I doubt it. No, sit still and be quiet in the hall, don't talk to this person, read your study materials-whatever. It was all about rules and repression.
So when folks finally leave this WTS crap behind, this freedom and the feeling that it's okay to have it and deserve it; gradually emerges. There are so many here that are celebrating their ability to simply speak their mind without some hammer coming down on their head. I can imagine it's almost a giddiness inside. So out comes the "fluff" and the silliness. That is a very good thing. Who was able to speak so freely about something as inconsequential as underwear- much less have the time to give any thought to it? Must study, Must go to meeting, must meet the requirements. Let folks have their fluff. It's a valuable release. Setting up another place for it IMHO is like saying to them once again- THAT doesn't belong here-take it elsewhere. Isn't that the message they've been receiving all along. It's not "appropriate"??
The fluff also balances out the negative stuff that comes out of all of this- the sadness, the regret, the anger, the guilt and for many- the lonliness.
(((((((Farkel)))))))))---please don't take what I'm saying as directed towards what you have said- I understand where you are coming from. This was not meant for you. What you have and are doing is a great thing and please continue to do it. It's invaluable.
One- I don't know you but reading what you have written in this thread gives me the impression that somehow the length of time you have been posting here makes you more of something (?) than others. Isn't that the same kind of thinking that goes on in the WTS? And remember your handle- ONE. You are one out of many here and this grand place fills more needs than just one's. I agree with what others have said here- if you see a post that is clear it's a "fluff" post- pass it on by- pretty simple. And if you happen into a post that you didn't know was fluff- it will be quite obvious in the first couple of sentences and then all it takes is a click on your "back" button to get out an move on. To expect that things should be shuffled to make it easier for you to read what you want to- wow- tell me where that happens in this world- my bags are packed-that's where I want to live!
Heaven made a very good point- someone participated in her "fluff" thread and found the courage they didn't have before that. That is huge. And noone can tell when a post of any kind, be it serious or fluff is going to help another on their journey of healing. All of it is needed.
Okay, someone get me off this soapbox.
My 135 cents

FARKEL is a big ol' pimp! Preach on my brother man!
I just want to say that while I am very gratefull for all of the research and educational materials which appear here, this is not the primary reason I browse JWD. I browse for my own enjoyment and to interchange thoughts with people of a similar background. Sometimes these thoughts are informative, sometimes less so.
But if I wanted to find the most efficient and effective means of disseminating information, a 'public message board' would be the last place I would look. This would be in effect creating an html page with the help of 3000 amateur members and trolls. I could not think of any other prospect which would be more frustrating, other than a dog chasing it's own tail forever.
Hello,
I think that something else that must to be recognized about this whole issue is that most of what needs to be said about WTS doctrine and JW issues has been researched and stated in great detail some years ago and many people played a part in this process, both within and without the doors of the WTS. Search the net and you will find every flaw and error made by the WTS over the past 100 years discussed and analyzed. The 'Flock' book, all the BOEs letters, the KMs, every slip of the pen ever noticed in the WT is available, not to mention the books published about the WTS, and there rests little more that can be added to this body.
For example, 607BCE-1914CE, blood transfusions, disfellowshipping, 'faithful slave' analysis, etc. in fact all the WTS major doctrinal failures have been thoroughly de-bunked in brilliant Technicolor during the past few years, both on and off the net. All that can happen now is that small details may get added and these are then discussed on these sorts of Boards ad nausuem. The WTS itself no longer even tries to defend doctrine, it merely removes those who question it.
Perhaps what is happening is that the XJW 'movement' has now evolved beyond its infancy and is trying to find its feet in different territory and I can well understand how XJW veterans look back at the days of hand-to-hand combat, doctrinally speaking, almost with nostalgia and find a lot of what is discussed on these Boards intellectually unchallenging.
The times they are a changing! I see a world of 'fluff' ahead, destiny calls.lol
