Crazy151drinker,
Two things God can't do are lie and die. He would be lying if he said he was One and meant Three. And if Jesus were God, he could not die. But Jesus did die, which clearly shows that he was not God as some people claim.

Undercover,
You skipped some really great stuff.

I may have, but I kinda just wanted an answer to the age old debate. Call me lazy that way. I didn't want to read a tit for tat argument(which is what I bet it became).
Herk, the truth does hurt, and by all your name calling and foolish mockeries, it has obviously hurt you.
The Bible says that Jesus created ALL things. The Bible also says that there is ONE Creator. He is identified as Jehovah. The Bible says that Jesus made all that was made, and if it were not for Him, nothing would be made that was made. How can this be? "...and the Word was God."
You can't refute the facts. It's what the Bible says.
John 14 identifies Jesus as being one with the Holy Spirit. He says he would bid the Father to send the Comforter, that he will dwell in you. Then Jesus says "I will dwell in you." I've already pointed this out in a previous post.
You also can't get around Isaiah 9:6, where the Messiah is identified as the EVERLASTING FATHER. (Every version identifies the Messiah as Father.) Jesus says that there is ONE Father. But how can this be? "...and the Word was God."
What the Bible says:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
What Herk reads:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, a god, kind of like the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
You should not mock what you don't understand, and this you have been doing.
SwedishChef,
As usual, you're jumping to the wrong conclusions.
You're the one who gives the impression of being frustrated at times. On the other hand, I'm having a great time, watching you go round and round in your little rut with nothing valid that would justify anyone's converting to your pagan myth.

That's pretty funny, coming from a guy who twists and distorts, not only what the Scriptures say, but even what others say. Makes me feel pretty good, SwedishChef, that you put me on a par with scholars and other great thinkers. They don't mock the Scriptures, and neither do I. What I do mock is a pagan teaching that evil men have wormed into the church and that has grossly misled and deceived gullible people like you.
Want another example of your outright distortions and lies? You wrote concerning how I read Isaiah 9:6:
a god, kind of like the everlasting Father,
God knows, I know, nearly everybody who reads this thread knows, and you know, that there isn't a grain of truth in your misinterpretation. It's becoming clearer that your biggest problem is with yourself. Instead of listening and paying attention to what your opponents write, you read into their statements just like you read your false human reasoning into the Scriptures.
Herk
Fjtoth, first of all, I wasn't commenting anything about you. I was talking about Herk. (Who, if you notice, is the one making all the insulting cartoons and calling everyone decieved, blind, etc) Why do you take a side against me and not Him?
I have given plain Scripture which identifies the Messiah as the Father. John 1:1 says Jesus is God. If you've read some of my other posts, and posts of other Trinitarians here, you will see that there is a large mass of passages in the Bible which identify Jesus as God, or having traits that only God can have.
I have yet to see someone refute what I said about the "one creator" argument. I have yet to see someone refute Isaiah 6:9.
"That's pretty funny, coming from a guy who twists and distorts, not only what the Scriptures say, but even what others say. "
Show me one example of when I distorted what the Scriptures say.
