No, no, you guys got it all wrong, you still don't understand that 'IS' word. Wait until they start explaining the 911 episode.

blacksheep,i do not condone the killing of innocent people but there is defininately a huge double standard here.
i have a question...are you for capital punishment? from your comments i assume you are. so how many years can pass before a person connot be charged with a murder anymore?
Realist you need to wake up and smell the coffee or something because you are comparing what goes on in the middle east with what goes on in the US and this makes you ignorant if there's nothing less. IF A MOB OF PEOPLE TODAY ATTACKED ANYONE....ANYONE AT ALL...EVEN AN IRAQI AND DRAGGED THEM THROUGH THE STREETS, BASHED IN THEIR HEADS WITH CLUBS, BUTCHERED THEM IN PUBLIC, TIED THEM UP AND HUNG THEM, SET THEM ON FIRE THEN HAD A PUBLIC PARTY
no doubt they would be arrested, imprisoned, tried, convicted and PERHAPS sentenced to death. AS IT SHOULD BE
plm,
i think you misunderstood the point i tried to make. i was talking about blacksheeps comment that the US cannot be held repsonsible for actions taken in the middle east because those action took place in the past. my question/comment was directed to that. why exactly should the US not been held responsible for the death of a million people in iraq just because it happened "already" 10 years ago?
blacksheep,

i have a question...are you for capital punishment? from your comments i assume you are. so how many years can pass before a person connot be charged with a murder anymore? the embargo that killed hundreds of thousands of iraqis is less than 10 years ago. can the US just say "ah we did this 5 years ago and we cannot be blamed for what we did in the past even if it was yesterday"? have the arabs no right to want revenge? Let's see if I can piece through your logic here. Because the US imposed sanctions (as in no trade) with certain governments whose leaders were corrupt, and consequently the citizens of those countries suffered/died because THEIR government refused to change and remained corrupt, the US is responsible for those deaths. These people have great wealth/natural resources at their disposal and yet their countries are literally staving, their corrupt leaders getting richer. can you honestly say you would not hate the arabs if they killed your family? If we take YOUR analogy, the situation is this. I am in a business supporting my family. I'm doing things, both to my family, and to others, that other people don't like. They stopped doing business with me. I refused to make any changes, so I stopped making money and my children starved to death. Who is to blame? Obviously the people who stopped doing business with me. So, that's a giant leap as to who actually "killed" my family. The analogy is ridiculous. But, in answer to your questionn: If a group of Arabs came in and murdered my family, I would NOT draw the conclusion that all Arabs were evil and needed to be murdered. THAT seems to be the conclusion you are drawing. also, it is, like it or not, a simple fact that the US playes a major role in the palestinian conflict.
It is clear these people cannot or do not want to live in peace.
the arabs the jews or both? Cannot say. Let's just say if I were a Jew (or an American) living in the Arab world, I'd watch my back. And arm myself.
for the death of a million people in iraq just because it happened "already" 10 years ago?
Oh, so now it's up to a "million". Growing by the minute.

Kind of "funny" how Saddam ripped off the Iraqi people for over 10 billion dollars during the "oil for food" period alone and no one says asks "why aren't the people of Iraq pissed about this? Always the Americans this, the Americans that.
blacksheep,
the actual number is somewhere between 500.000 and a million (ask madleine albraight she knows it more exactly).

these people have oil and thats about it. by blocking any trade with iraq the US is indeed responsible for the death in iraq.
roybatty,
the oil for food program started after most people had already died. besides...i am quite sure most iraqis were and are no big fans of hussein.
I'm still waiting for the big explination as to why the President and his cabinet was so sneaky and just had it in for the contry of Iraq? Again, where's the cheap oil? If we planned to "take over that country" then why are we already planning to leave?
roy,
once again, you and so many other make the false assumption that bush is acting in the interest of the american people. he is not! he and his buddies got what they wanted and you have to pay the bill!
bush does not want to get out of iraq and neither does halliburton and co. if the US leaves (extremely unlikely) than only because the invasion is more expansive than anyone has forseen.
Somebody help me out here...maybe I'm just a complete idiot...how does relaying intelligence that later proves to be wrong equate to telling a lie?
no you and all of the western world should change their middle east politics and apologize to the arabs for decades of shitting on them. with different foreign politics of the US 911 would never have happened.
Tell me exactly and in detail how it is the US has shit on anyone in the middle east...by buying their oil? Perhaps the fault lies with their leaders who are always pointing their fingers at the US so that no one is looking at them as their robbing their own people blind.
I love all you f***ing excuse makers for the terrorists...sometimes you people make me absolutely nauses. Does the name Tokyo Rose sound familiar?
