i have heard similar stories as posted in this thread. my fave is always that jehovah used the dinosaurs as a test for the earth during the creative days, to see how biological life did.

Maybe Jehovah used the dinosaurs as company for the sprites, mind thetons, and lepercons.. all sitting around having a prehistoric f*cking tea-party.

It intensely enrages me to think that I sat there like a drone listening to the Watchtower's murky "reasoning" on things.. wasting so much time in that crap.

Dude.. that CAN'T be true. Man if I were at that meeting I seriously would have calmly walked to the back of the hall, grabbed a field service report slip, wrote a disassociation letter on the back and handed it to the speaker. If you think THAT'S bad GBL, i've obviously never told you the theories that a certain "circuit overseer" expounded when a sister invited me to share lunch the C/O and his wife at her house... He was a Star Trek: Voyager fan (i much prefered Deep Space Nine but that's another thread)... Anyway, he said that maybe the dinosaurs were technologically advanced like in the Voyager episode "Distant Origin" and that maybe they had had to be destroyed by Jehovah at the flood because of... (wait for it)...... unfaithfulness...

He also had some other strange ideas about aliens, the nephilim, the city of Atlantis, the Tower of Babel and other aspects of the a ntediluvian period... he also used to ask what was stopping us from engaging in space travel and colonising new planets in the New System... He never said this on the platform of course... and i never worked out whether or not he was joking, but he sure seemed serious to me...

In fact it was his strange ideas that first gave me a precedent to start thinking out-of-the-box and break away from rigid JW-drone thinking... As far as i know he's still in the troof and still on the circuit work... i wonder if he was an undercover "poztate"? lol

My parents used to speculate about which planet we might go to live on and stuff too...we were also avid star trek fans. Nuff said - I wonder if they thought about how we'd get around the immodest skin tight lycra outfits obligatory for any human conducting extra-terrestrial travel...

And also if Dino's don't exists who's been giving the public talks every Sunday for the last 100 and some years!

Katie your remarks made me rock with laughter - I too remember the Brit Museum trips and looking at the curled up corpse of a neanderthal man and it being explained that he was actually only a few thousand years old not more than that.
