I think underneath all the social conditioning we're all animals and we have animalike instincts to pro-create and spread our seed. At some point in time, if you spend a great deal of "quality" time with a person you're going to want to 'jump their bones' to pacify your inner animal, and make the time investment worthwhile. Frog

My previous post should have been addressed to elsewhere. My brother logged into this site for the first time tonight as a guest.....he is able to visit all but the members discussion site........he made a comment to me about how some of the threads seem to go downhill when it comes to language... and while I am a proponent of free speech....I think we need to keep in mind where the threads are started and who will be looking at them!

Sorry about that. I normally don't talk like that, but sometimes when something upsets me my tongue just goes off on it's own.

I actually asked a male friend of mine that question once. The answer came back that even though we are friends at times they / he does think about shagging her. I know it's crossed my mind. I've been attracted to some of my male friends but wouldn't take it further because we are such good friends.

Yet ""they"" (whomever they are) say that being friends first can make things a lot better.

So in answer to the thread to a certain degree one can remain platonic friends (a little bit of fantasy never hurt anyone)
